unwell (kou)

Mitsuba and hanako are both human in this au!!

Kou looked at the cold winter sky as snow fell from the bright clouds. He became more and more sad as he knew, he was sick. He went to school anyways and made it through his first 2 classes. He didn't know what to do for lunch. He wandered around the school looking for something to do. His coughing worsened as he wandered. He decided to sit down as his legs became weaker and weaker "kou!" A pink haired male happily made his way to the blonde on the floor. "You don't look well, are you sick?" Mitsuba crouched down to kou "uh, yeah I'm a bit sick.. I'm not feeling well" kou said barely looking at mitsuba. He knew he was slipping. Kou felt like crying for basically no reason as mitsuba examined kou, seeing if he's okay. Mitsuba frowned, "I think you should probably go home if you're sick.. you look pale" mitsuba exclaimed as he looked around. Tears started running down kou's face "ah! Uh are you okay..!?" Mitsuba started panicking, "m sad nd I dunno why.." mitsuba then remembered kou telling mitsuba something about his "littlespace". He looked around once again seeing nobody and hugged the boy. "Are you little right now?" Kou nodded and wiped his tears "ah, uhm.." mitsuba didn't know how to act "do you have someone that looks after you?" Kou looks up to mitsuba yet again wiping his tears and nods 'i know he told me about this but I never expected it to be like this.. I need to do my best to make him feel better' mitsuba thinks  of what to do. "Can you tell me who it is? I might be able to help you" kou shakes his head. Mitsuba thinks "want to know what calms me down?" Kou looks up again and nods slowly "I like to draw and listen to music!" Mitsuba starts to go in his bag and takes out headphones, a notebook, and some pencils/coloured pencils. "Here! I'll let you draw and listen to music" kou looks at the blank sheet of paper then puts on the headphones. Kou smiles softly and begins drawing in the notebook. He wipes his remaining tears from his face and draws mitsuba with the best of his abilities. He finished the drawing and proudly looks at it smiling softly, he picks the notebook up and taps on mitsuba's shoulder. Mitsuba looks toward kou as he shows the drawing to mitsuba. "Aww, is that supposed to be me?" Kou nods as mitsuba takes the notebook to get a better look at it. "Wow this is amazing bud!" Kou smiles at the name he was called, he liked being called "bud" or "buddy". mitsuba smiles back at kou. Kou then thinks he wants to see his friends, all of them know that he is an age regressor but have never seen him regress before. He goes deep in thought and mitsuba notices "do you want something?" Kou nodded "I wan to see Hana and Nene!" Mitsuba smiles "ok.. um" mitsuba looks around and thinks how to let him see them. "Since it's lunch I'll go find them and get them for you, are you okay by yourself for a couple minutes kou?" Kou nods and sits there waiting for mitsuba to get back. Some time passes and he's getting scared because it might be almost the end of lunch. Mitsuba soon arrives with hanako and yashiro. Mitsuba goes to kou and crouches down "I explained to them that your regressed right now and they understand." Kou nods and looks to them and shows the drawing he made of mitsuba "it looks so cool! I think you did an amazing job kou" Nene praises kou as she sits down beside him "it looks exactly like him!" Hanako says not knowing how to act. Kou smiles "tank 'ous!" Kou thanks the both of them and smiles cheerfully at the two. Kou starts to cough a bit "owie!.." he holds his head. "Are you sick kou?" Kou's lip quivers as he nods. His eyes become glassy with tears as he looks up at everyone "I think you should go home kou.. we don't want you to get more sick" yashiro kneels down to kou as kou slightly nods. "Let's get you packed for home. I'm sure yashiro and hanako will tell the office your sick and going home" mitsuba adds as he has a look of worry on his face kou's frown grows bigger as he sulks. He gets up anyways with mitsuba's help and says his goodbyes to hanako and yashiro. They both go get his stuff and start walking home together hoping they don't slip on ice. Mitsuba tried making kou feel better and some was a success the other wasn't. They arrived at his house which wasn't too far from school and walked to the front door "I wan 'ou to come in.." mitsuba thought for a second "I'll help you get into bed to rest and once your asleep I'll go home. Is that okay with you?" Mitsuba smiled. Kou nodded and took mitsuba by the hand and led him to kou's room. Mitsuba looked around for a minute and then back at kou sitting on the edge of the bed. "do you want any food? I have some in my bag" kou shook his head "nuh uh.. I wan sleep.." kou said as he grabbed a pillow and hugged it close, he could barely keep his eyes open. Mitsuba's face turned into a face of concern and sympathy. "I'll tuck you in so you nice and cozy, and if you are still feeling like this I'll come over tomorrow and give you some medicine to help" kou nodded as he lays down on the bed getting under the covers.
Mitsuba tucks kou into bed and waits beside kou for him to fall asleep. Kou soon drifts off into a (somewhat) peaceful sleep. Mitsuba smiles and walks out of the room silently. He goes to the front door and puts his boots and coat on. He leaves the house and walks all the way home in the cold.

Wasn't sure how to end this but it's done 🥲 it got deleted one time and I had to start all over but other than that here it is! I know it's super late 😭😭 catboymybeloved requested this :]
