He does NOT know how the in the everlasting fuck did he end up here.He does know one thing.
He is going to murder someone.
Okay, he may or may not have gone a little too hard on that bartender guy, but c'mon! The coffee was too damned sugary! And to be honest his face was definitely not pleasant to look at.
He was right to be furious with him, it wasn't fair for his boss to suspend him for "harassment". Huh.
And know here he is, working as a fucking volunteer for almost fucking free in this fucking creepy ass hospital just to assure himself his boss won't end up kicking him the fuck out and leave him fucking unemployed for the next 3 mother fucking months.
He is going to kill someone. Or himself. Maybe someone and then himself? Fuck it, he isn't sure, but he will most likely commit some kind of arson.
"Mr. Robin!"
The smell of germs and illnesses is sickeningly filling his nose while the broom makes it's way through the chairs and bed.
"Mr. Robin!!!"
Jesus, this smells like rotten child
"MR. ROBIN-"
"WHAT NOW" He raised his voice maybe too much. The kid calling... Him? From the bed looked kinda scared. Okay, he though, definitely too much.He sighed deeply. "What do you want, kid?" The kid looked ready to talk back, but the man started again before he could even finish the first syllable. "Look, I don't know who this 'Robin' you're talking about is, but I can ask and bring him here with me if that's what you want. Okay? Is that what you want?" It sounded way more annoyed that it probably should.
"... It's you."
"What?"
"You are Robin. Mr. Robin"
"Excuse me, what?"
The kid pointed at the little card pinned to his uniforms shirt.
"Robin" he said "Short for Robinson!"
"Oh."
Robin. Short for Robinson. Huh.
"...Right." 'Robin' exhaled, ready to talk. He didn't even want to ask questions.
"So, yeah- huh. What did you want, kid?""Manny."
Robin waited, searching for the rest of the sentence which, in fact, never arrived. "Manny what."
Wich the child responded with just another "Manny."
Robin was... confused, to say the least.
After a few uncomfortable seconds, the kid started again. "That's my name."
"Uh... Manny? That's your name?"
"That's what I said."
"Yeah, huh- that's right. I suppose."
The tension was hard as fuck. He was never good with kids, god, he hated his siblings. Always whining and crying about stupid things and being the most annoying shits to ever exist. 'you were a kid once, too!!' and he hated himself too, fucking surprise me, God.
"So... Manny. Could you please tell me what do you want?"
"Oh! I just wanted to say Hi to you!" Manny said brightly, the silence filling the room once more. "Hi!" He clacked softly as he spoke again, childishly smiling.
Robin was just so. Fucking lost.
He said back to the kid and headed to the floor to continue his (unpaid) "job".
Of course, once he ended with that room and started walking out of it, he heard a little "Bye, Mr. Robin!" Coming from the bed.And through the rest of the week, it was always like that, with Manny commenting every little thing he could to distract the man from his work every chance he got. Without reason.
Robin hated kids.
