The sound of music echoes throughout the house as enter the house, closing the door to the garage. A smile reaches my lips as I finally get to see my girls after work.
I place my briefcase and keys down as I make my way to the living room.I turn into the living room to find Sage in the kitchen, packing up some dishes as music plays from the house's sound system, completely oblivious to me creeping up behind her.
She reaches up to place the last of the dishes, being cups in the cupboard right before I wrap my arms around her waist, hugging her from behind causing her to shriek loudly.
I immediately laugh, not releasing her from my hold as she leans into me, lowly muttering something to herself.
"You need to stop doing that," She says as she turns around to wrap her arms around my neck to hug me. I bury my face in her neck inhaling her scent, she always smells so good it's not fair.
"I missed you too baby," I say once we pull away from the hug, still smiling as I lower my head to kiss her. She kiss me back for a quick second before pulling back to stare at me. My eyebrows furrow in confusion as I meet her gaze.
"Thank you for the flowers," She says as her eyes light up and smiles up at me.
"You're welcome amore," I reply as she holds my tie in her hand and right before I can comprehend what she's planning, she tugs on it, pulling me down to kiss her again. This time deeper and more meaningful.
I steer her towards the counter as she runs her other hand down my clothed chest. I carry her by her waist and set her on the countertop as I stand between her legs, placing both my hands on either side of her as neither of us break the kiss, not even for a quick second.
As if we both encounter the same thought at the same time of our daughter walking in on us right now, we pull away from the kiss.
I stare at her amused as she says,
"What? I saw an opportunity and took it," Smiling happily causing me to chuckle.
"The kids," She says escaping my hold on her but grabbing my hand in the process and pulling me along with her through the living room.
"The kids?" I ask again.
"Yes, the kids,"
The open floor plan enables us to be able to be in the living room, kitchen and still be able to check on Aella while she plays outside in the garden.
Once we reach the garden, I finally get her reference. Our daughter is playing with another ki-
Woah what? How? I thought I'm only supposed to experience stuff like this whenever she's older like a teenager or something, not now.
"Who is that?" I ask as a single eyebrow raises instinctively refering to the boy playing with Aella. Sage turns back to face me, smirking in the process. She opens her mouth to reply but Aella beats her to it.
