CHAPTER 11

"Sameer... Naina ne mere saath bet lagaayi thi ki tu usse I Love You bolega, usse sabke saamne kiss karega. Issi wajah se toh usne tujhse friendship ki thi." Vicky's words rang in his ears loud and clear. Sameer couldn't believe that Naina would do something like this with him. His dream girl... his Naina... had made a bet on him?

Sameer continued walking on the deserted streets drenching himself in the rains. He himself had no idea where he was heading to. His mind wrapped around the scene that happened in the basketball court. He became a joke for everyone who stood there watching the entire episode. And who was the reason behind all this? His very own dream girl?

Sameer was shattered beyond limits. He still couldn't believe that Naina had broken his heart so mercilessly. The love that he had seen in her eyes was all fake. She had befriended him only for the sake of that bet. Weren't his feelings important for her? She had crushed his heart so harshly and made fun of him, his feelings.

Sameer didn't know when he reached the beach and stopped walking when the waves of the sea crashed on his feet. He stood looking at the dark rainy sky with his heart totally broken. When he couldn't take anymore, he fell on his knees and cried.

"Kyun? Kyun bhagwaan kyun? Naina ne mere saath aisa kyun kiya? Main uske liye sirf ek bet tha. Main uska wohh zariya tha jisse wohh sabko saabit kar sake ki wohh kisiki girlfriend bann sakti hai. Kya kabhi usne mere liye kuch feel nahi kiya? Jo pyaar maine uski aankhon mein dekha tha mere liye, wohh sab jhooth tha. Main kabhi sapne mein bhi nahi soch sakta ki meri Naina aisa kuch kar sakti hai. Agar usse bet hi jeetni thi toh wohh mujhe pehle hi bataa deti, toh main khud uski jeetne mein madad karta. Par usse koi hakk nahi hai ki wohh mera dil aise tode, mere feelings ke saath khele. Naina ne sabke saamne mera mazaak banaakar rakh diya bhagwaan, mere pyaar ka mazaak banaakar rakh diya."

"Aap toh jaante hai naa ki Naina mere liye kya hai. Jabse usse pehli baar dekha tab se hi usse pyaar karne lagaa. Bina usse jaane, bina usse samjhe, maine usse meri dream girl banaa diya. Usse jaanne samajhne ke baad bhi mera pyaar kam nahi hua. Jo maine mere liye dream girl sochi thi, Naina usse bohot alag hai, fir bhi main usse khudse jyaada, sabse jyaada pyaar karta hun. Main bohot pyaar karta hun Naina se bhagwaan... bohot pyaar karta hun... Par Naina ne kabhi mujhse pyaar hi nahi kiya. Uske liye main sirf ek bet tha... sirf ek bet... Main kya karun ab? Mera dil toot raha hai... toot raha hai mera dil... aur ab isse chaahkar bhi main kabhi jod nahi paaunga bhagwaan... kabhi jod nahi paaunga..."

Sameer didn't know for how much time he continued sitting on his knees and kept crying. His tears didn't stop and nor did the rains. A sound of thundering broke his reverie, and he came back to his senses.

Looking at the sky above, he spoke again, "Bas... ab aur nahi... ab main aur nahi rounga. Uss Naina ke liye apne aansoon waste nahi karunga. Jab usse mere feelings ki, mere pyaar ki kadar hi nahi hai toh main kyun uske liye ro raha hun? Uske liye main sirf ek bet tha aur kuch nahi. Naina mujhse pyaar nahi karti... Mujhe yeh sach maanna hi padega. Main iss sacchai se mooh nahi mod sakta. Aaj se main sirf apni family se, apne friends se pyaar karunga. Sirf yahi log mere liye important hai aur koi nahi."

"Main aisa samjhunga ki Naina meri life mein kabhi aayi hi nahi thi. Main ab se kisi Naina ko nahi jaanta. Naa main pehle Naina se mila tha aur naa aage milunga.
