Warning: Kissing :D

You sat in a tree, waiting for the perfect opportunity to spear the robust pig who was unknowingly approaching you, when Jack Merridew and his stupid hunting tribe burst into the clearing, shouting and waving their spears. Idiots. The pig took fright and started to run, but it darted toward your tree, hoping to run past you. That was not going to happen. You threw the lance, and it grazed the pig, who let out a shrill squeal of pain. However, it was running at a surprisingly swift pace, and the lance did not cause any fatal damage to the hair-covered pink skin and the soft, vulnerable flesh of the pig.

It escaped, racing through the bushes, and disappeared, leaving only the faint, receding rustle of snapping twigs and dry leaves. Merridew was such an idiot! (Though, to confess, you may have been infatuated with him.) You dropped from the tree, landing solidly on your feet. You glared at him and his group, and shouted, "I almost had that pig! It was walking straight toward me. I was going to pick it off easily, until your group of buffoons barged in here!"

Jack looked taken aback, but then something in his gaze hardened, and he spat back, "So what? You can always get another one!" Your only response to this was, "Jackass!" You then stomped away to your forest shelter.

About a few hours later, judging by the sundial you had installed, you heard footsteps approaching you. You looked up warily to see Jack looking at you. "I... came to apologize," he said stiffly. "I am truly sorry...... that you are so unreasonable." He smirked triumphantly, until you slapped him across the face, wiping both his smirk and his perfect camouflage paint from it. You raised your hand to slap him again, but this time he caught it in a surprisingly strong grip. "Kidding. You are unreasonable, but feuding over a pig is stupid. So, I apologize. Are you happy?" He let your hand go.

You did not know how to respond. You were still a bit mad at him for scaring the pig off and just brushing it off like that, but you liked, even loved Jack, and yes, holding a grudge over a pig was stupid. You decided you'd go with the forgiveness option. You lowered your hand. You hadn't realized you were still holding it up, and now it was rather sore. "And you're still a jackass, but okay... I forgive you," you grumbled.

He hesitated, then leaned in close to you, so close you could feel the heat radiating from his shirtless body, and in that instant, you knew that you two were thinking the same thing. You leaned in a bit more, surprising him and yourself, your lips finally meeting his.

Jack's lips were unexpectedly soft, almost silken against yours as he leaned into the kiss. It was rough yet gentle, passionate yet smooth. Your racing heartbeats seemed to merge into one as you bit his lip gently. He slid his hands around your waist, sending a tingling spark of electricity up your spine, then pulled away for air. He gazed into your eyes. "Let's go hunt together," he said.

"Absolutely," you replied, a smirk curling the edges of both your mouths.
