Waiting

Pov : Evelyn (present)

"I saw him here 15 mins ago. I told him to sit here because he wanted to see you." I nodded my head but tried avoid the pang of hurt in my chest. Maybe he doesn't wish to see me. But how can he wish not to see me when he is the one who left me. I waited a lot but I can't be the one to see him being bitch to me.

"Leave it Carla he doesn't wanna see that means don't wanna see. I am married why would I wanna meet him anyways?" They all laughed like what the fuck. "Why are you guys laughing I am pointing out the facts okay?" "Oh we know you. Why would you come here then just to see not him being here?" I pushed Emily out to leave and so we can go and sleep.

"Let's go guys it's 11pm already." Everyone went to their rooms but I was still up thinking at the balcony. What could've happened if he would've came back. We could've been married and have life that we wanted and together. I never knew I loved him and he was so important to me until he left.

I came back in my room and took long breath and slept.

(Next day)

It was finally the day of Emily my best friend getting married. We were all the church and getting ready for the marriage. I saw my bestie coming with her dad. She looked so beautiful and really gorgeous in the wedding dress. She looked at me and winked.

I mouthed to her "I love you." She said it back and went on with the wedding. I was lost in my own world. Thinking about Austin again. Why I keep thinking about him. He has probably moved on. He might have wife and I have husband . I can't ruin relationships.

Flashback.

"Do you wanna skip the school and come with me to watch movie?" I was laughing at him and eating chips. "Do you even know that everyone knows my family and if anyone found out that I went out with the boy and not even tell them they will kill me. I need new clothes in which they won't know it's me." He quickly looked at me eating chips and said "don't worry they won't find out I will give you my clothes. You probably won't even be found in them."

I shook my hand and blushing hard.

It was the next day and we waited until school was over. He brought me clothes and we went for movies. We were sitting in the Uber while he was counting somethings on his finger.

"What are you counting huh?" He smiled innocently. Oh Ghosh his smile I would melt. "I am counting how much it's going to be for our plan." "Don't worry I will help you too." We watched movies and came back home. Then I waited for him for next day.

I went inside the bus and saw he was not there and the bus driver wasn't his dad too. I quickly tried to avoid the concern in my eyes.

But then it went on and on for weeks until I was tired of waiting for him and then our school ended he was still not there. Then college Notbing. I gave up on him eventually . If we would've been together.

Flashback ends

I was shaken by somebody tried to make get into reality and I looked over and smiled and saw wedding was almost done. "You may kiss your bride now." I saw everyone clapping and felt myself being happy for my best friend.

We came back home and got done ate food and went to sleep again.
