Pov: Austin
I was selling the flowers to the customers and suddenly I saw Evelyn at the door. I quickly got done with my customers and went up to her. " hey um what you doing here?" "So I can't come in here oh I'm sorry I'll leave." She quickly said it but I held her forearm and said "no I'm sorry please come in." She nodded and came in looking around the house.
"You have flowers. Hm I remember telling you I love flowers." I chuckled ofc it's all her. Always her. "Yeah flowers get hurt too." She smiled at my words. "Where's your wife and kids?" She said looking around. "I don't have one." "What you mean are you still single?" I nodded at her. "Why are you single don't tell me you are still in love with me." I still nodded but said "I loved you and I just hadn't found the right girl yet." She narrowed her eyes. "Hmmm ok whatever you say."
We sat down and drank coffee. "How is your husband." She sighed and said " well he is in Brampton and I came here for Emily's wedding. I have son who is 2 years old. He is my love." She smiled while describing him. She handed me the phone to look at his picture. " oh my god he is so cute. He is handsome." I broke my heart by myself saying those words. I still think she will be mine when she have child with somebody else. "Yeah he is I love him." She added again.
I made an excuse and went away. I cried so hard. For 5 mins straight remembering she has moved on. When I went back I didn't saw her. I lost her again god. I started running around and saw her near the flowers and smiled.
" I thought u left." " no not yet do you want me to ?" I shook my head no. We sat there talking still a lot. All of a sudden it started raining. I held her hand and took her inside and gave her clothes. I didn't said anything to her 10 mins straight.
She broke the silence
Pov: Evelyn
"I waited for you- for 1 year Austin for 1 year. You didn't come. I was hopeless and looked for you every single day. Every time I saw a school bus I waited for you to come talk to me so we can go to movies like we used to play around and fight. But you didn't come." A sob left me my lips.
"I came when you were in college. I saw you with someone else and you looked happy still I waited to talk but I never had strength because when I looked at you being happy with someone else. I was angry at you and that boy. I came to your wedding too. I saw that boy again. I ran after seeing that. I cried for months." He moved his away trying to keep himself strong.
"He was Emily's boyfriend." I said out loud and he looked at me being shocked. "Yes he was her boyfriend he gave that gifts so I could give it to her and when you saw him in the wedding was because of Emily. She invited him. See Austin cause of you misunderstanding everything we never met again. But I am married now I have child who is 2 year old and loving husband but you can make me feel that love what I felt 10 years ago Austin."
What can I do I left after that I can't stand there no more.
