I must have fallen asleep because I opened my eyes and we were on a dirt road pulled over to the side. I looked over at Jeff who had reclined his seat. I couldn't help but look at his eyes. I couldn't tell if he was asleep or not because of his eyes. It just looked like he was staring at the roof of the car. I poked his arm hard, and nothing happened, so I knew he was asleep. I look out of the window into the darkness. To the right were dark woods that had sort of an eerie feel to them. To the left was more trees but you could see headlights and streetlights. I turned over and stared at the woods, my eyes following each branch. My heart raced as I saw two others move at the same time. I tries to focus the best I could, and my eyes moved with the "branches". I almost died when I saw what seemed to be a man being carried across the woods high up in the air. I sunk down in the car and held Jeff's hand. Was this going to be my life now? I'm reduced to cowering in a technically stolen car with my "crazy" boyfriend. I closed my eyes and tried to forget the man, but a small part of my brain was utterly fascinated. How could that even be possible, being that high in the air, having that thing.....what even was it? I fell asleep with those thoughts flying around in my head.

When I woke up, it was about dawn, and we were back on the road. Jeff was focused on the road, but we managed to hold a conversation. He glanced back. "Hey." I yawned. "Morning." He held my hand. "How was your first night on the run?" I shrugged. "It wasn't blissful, and I wouldn't say 'on the run' ." He looked back at me. "What do you mean." He turned back to the road. "Jeff, they Dont even know you did it!" He sighed. "They would have figured it out. Besides, I'd rather be labeled "missing" than be in jail." I shrugged. "Whatever you prefer." He laughed a little. "Besides," he looked back at me, "I'd miss you in jail." I laughed and felt myself blush. I guess Jeffrey Woods wasn't completely gone. He's just, you know, locked up. We pulled up to a small house, and Jeff told me to wait in the car. I sat there staring at the dashboard. I looked up and noticed Jeff in the window. He was motioning for me to come inside. I got out of the car and went in. The house was poorly kept, and the color was badly faded. Jeff was wiping off his knife. "Old man. Looks like no close family. No ones gonna be looking for him." I nodded. At this point, I'll go along with whatever plan Jeff has in mind. We carried the man into the backyard. Luckily, he had a fire barrel in the back. Jeff carefully dismembered him then handed me the body parts, which I threw into the barrel. When all was done, I poured gasoline into the barrel, then Jeff lit it. We watched as the fire slowly diminished into nothing. We went inside and started looking through things. Apparently this old guy mush not have trusted banks, because we found a crap load of money. Like, a couple thousand dollars. After we regrouped and put the money away, we unloaded our stuff and just relaxed for a bit. We decided to just lay down and watch TV. As soon as we turned on the TV, it was an AMBER alert......for me.
