Chapter Four : A New Beginning

(Two Months Later)

Me and Jeff have been on the run for a while. Killing is really easy, not as hard as I thought it would be. You just need the element of surprise. We've been moving from house to house, living off what we can. Since the makeover, many changes have happened. My name has been changed to Raven Woods because a few days back, Jeff was going through a victim's jewelry box and found a gorgeous ring with a black gem in the middle. We were talking, and he just asked "Will you be my wife?" Well of course! He's changed, so have I, and I truly believe we've changed for the better. To make it official, he gave me his scars. You know, gave me a permanent smile and burned off my eyelids. Now I know what your probably thinking, 'Did we consummate the marriage?' No, no we didn't. And if you don't know what consummate means, what do a majority of newlyweds do on their wedding night? Exactly. We decided not to, and we're not going to any time soon. Right now it's all about staying hidden from the public eye. No 'fun' of any kind until this abduction thing blows over.

Anyway, today, Jeff left the house early in a good mood. J stayed in the house, then there was a knock at the door. I froze. I didn't know what to do. I looked out of the peephole and saw a man in a suit with a briefcase. I leaned against the door in thought. Jeff had said I needed to work on my technique...I decided to open it...

I stood behind the door as the man walked in. Adrenaline pumping, I gripped my knife tightly. I slammed the door shut as I lunged at the man. He didn't even have time to turn around fully before I pulled his hair back and slit his throat with my knife. I dropped him and enjoyed the sound of him gasping for breath, choking on his own blood. Since he had moved so quickly, he squirted some blood across my face. I stared into his eyes as I saw him take his last excuse of a breath. I sighed as I remembered I had to dispose of the body. I was dragging the body out of view as someone knocked on the window. I looked through the blinds and saw Jeff with a cage. I opened the door and pulled Jeff in. He got out of my grip and brought the cage in too. I looked at the cage, then at him. "What is in there?" I asked, tired from the incident with the suit man. He smiled. "It's a surprise." I shrugged and went to go wash my face. He followed me to the bathroom and gently tugged on my hair as I watched my face. He asked innocently, "Why is there so much blood in the living room?" It made me laugh. "I had an opportunity, and I took it." He left the bathroom, and when I returned to the living room, I almost screamed. This animal was eating the man with the briefcase!!! I looked at Jeff, who was laughing. "Jeff!! What is that?!?" I yelled, kinda scared. He stood up and hugged me. "Aww chill out babe. Its only the new pet!" I pulled away. "New pet?"
