It's been four years since Namjoon last saw his parents. He tried to accept the fact that there was no chance of them surviving anymore. Sometimes the thought alone made his eyes well up with unshed tears. But occasionally, he worked on being a strong and protective brother for the sake of his little cub. Areum would look at him with so much appreciation at the way he cared about not only his brother but also the other kids at the home.
The moon was glowing oh so bright. The sky was coloured a beautiful midnight blue and the stars shone brilliantly. The six-year-old sat by the window sill and admired the sky. It was his favourite activity to do on nights like these. Jimin feels comfortable just being there and looking at the sky with adoration in his eyes and a warm feeling engulfing his heart, which soon lulls him into a peaceful sleep. Surprisingly, he is disturbed by the fast approaching pitter-patter of footsteps and he knows exactly who it is. The door slammed open and there stood a petite youngling bawling his eyes out and wiping his snot with the back of his tiny palm while the other hand held a teddy with one of its eye-piece barely holding on to the thread that'd been pulled out. He was not surprised to see his pal in this state. He sighed, jumping off the window sill and waving bye to the moon as he approached Taehyung. "What is it this time? You just had a fight with him this morning, and it took all afternoon to sort it out. I can't believe you guys fought again, Tae". Jimin was actually mature compared to his age; he always possessed the mind of a person two years older than him. Taehyung started whimpering, and Jimin understood the assignment. He hugged Taehyung, who sobbed uncontrollably as he tried to explain the situation to his hyung. "I-It was h-him," he hicupped. "He tried to steal Bruno from me and tore Bruno's eyes." Jimin was actually trying to control the giggle that threatened to escape his plump lips as he thought about the fact that his buddy cried about a mere teddy as if it was the end of the world. "Okay bud, let's go and I'll talk to him." Jimin spoke as he released the hug and patted the little one's back. Taehyung intertwined his hands with his hyung and followed Jimin as he led the way.
"I'm not gonna ask sowwy hyung it wasn't my fault!" The grumpy kid exclaimed with folded arms ,brows furrowed in anger and lips in a pout. His grumpiness is one of the things he learnt from watching his hyung since he gained a mind of his own. Yoongi was on the verge of bursting out. His patience was wearing thin as he had already explained the situation to his little brat. He marched out of the room to seek out his personal sage. Yoongi spotted him sitting on the sofa with a book in hand. He approached the figure and cleared his throat. "Oh shiii-sheep!" I've told you to stop appearing out of nowhere!"Hoseok blurted. Yoongi looked at him "Jungkook's being all bratty again for the second time on the same day! It was his fault that he tried to take away Bruno from Tae, knowing how much Tae cherished him. I don't have time for your exaggerated shocks. Just give me a solution. " he stated, all the while having a polker face. "Aish! This kid!I seriously think he needs a good spanking with a laddle or something. " Hoseok let out a frustrated laugh at Kook's brattish behaviour. Yoongi just started marching to the kitchen in search of his laddle. He'd had enough. Hoseok observed him and voiced out, his eyes wide, "Did he just walk in the direction of the scullery?Well well, it looks like someone really needs to learn to take a joke! " He got up and followed the ten-year-old aggressive kitten.
Jimin walked inside Jungkook and Yoongi's shared room with Tae walking right behind him. He spotted Jungkook standing in a corner and furiously mumbling something. "Bunny?" Jimin called out. "Jimine hyung?" Jungkook let out startled, still facing the corner. He turned around only to spot Jimin looking at him with fond eyes. In an instant, he ran to Jimin and hugged him tight, eyes scrunched close, listening to his hyung's calming heartbeat. There is something in the way that Jimin looks at Jungkook that makes Jungkook's bratty attitude wash away. It's a special bond, a connection that Jimin and him share. Jimin engulfed the shorter one in an embracing hug. Taehyung took two steps back, still sniffling, scared that his hyung might agree with Jungkook's side of the argument. "What happened, bunny?" Jimin questioned. "I just wanted to play hyung." Jungkook let out, his voice muffled by Jimin's sweater. "I wanted to play with Bruno too!" Jimin grinned, understanding what actually took place. "Do you feel like saying sorry now bun?Bruno is sad and he is hurt." Jungkook gasped after hearing the word "hurt" leave Jimin's lips. Taehyung stepped forward with his arms held out to unveil the state of Bruno. "Oh poor Bruno!" Jungkook mumbled, depressed. "I'm sowwy Taetae! Don't be sad, let's give Bruno some bwanuna milk. He'll be awight soon!"Taehyung was surprised at the kind gesture because Jungkook never shares his banana milk with anyone. He swiftly cleaned up his teary cheeks with his sweater paws and nodded. "Let's go to the cold-cold."Taehyung added enthusiastically. They both held hands and giggled as they ran towards the fridge to fetch the drink. Jimin beamed and followed his buddies, thinking of getting some ice-cream for himself when Mama was away.
