Kageyama never thought he could love someone as much.

It was not significant, just not something Kageyama himself expected. She was the one who helped him through all the hard times, she was the one who reassured him over and over again when he was unsure of himself, she never got annoyed with Kageyama when his 'king features' came out. She was always there. Kageyama vowed to himself that he would never let anything separate them, he would always protect her no matter what.

Kana had been acting quite distant recently, she tried to act like nothing was wrong, but Kageyama, being his observant self, noticed that something was off. And the protective boyfriend he was, to say Kageyama was concerned would be an understatement.

"Tobio? You okay? You've been quite silent lately." Worry was evident in her voice. Kageyama cleared his mind, he had spaced out. He looked her in the eye and said, "Don't worry, I was just thinking." She repositioned herself so that their legs were intertwined together, "What's on your mind?" Kageyama fell silent. What was he thinking about? Sure, Kana would tell him if something was wrong right? Or would she hide it from him because she didn't want to bother him? Kageyama suddenly felt that he could no longer read his beloved girlfriend like an open book.

Kana's smile faded and was quickly replaced by a frown, "Tobio? Are you sure you're okay?" Kageyama managed a forced smile, "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Desperate that she would be convinced by his lie, Kageyama's heart dropped when he saw her raise her eyebrows. "Really? You don't seem at all fine." She knew him too well. Fair enough, they had known each other for a long time, Kageyama wouldn't be surprised if Kana said she could read his mind. He knew well enough that he wouldn't be able to convince her, but he just couldn't tell her the truth, not when he was sure there was something wrong with Kana.

Hearing no answer from him, Kana sighed. She knew that if she pushed him even harder, he wouldn't even say a thing, she wanted to know what was wrong with him so badly, but she decided against it. She trusted that Kageyama would tell her anything and everything. So instead, she said softly, "Okay, but know that you can talk to me if something's wrong, okay?" Kageyama held her closer to his chest and whispered, "Thank you."
