Soft shoulder kisses from Ace instantly brought a smile to my face. His touch felt distinctively magical, for he had the ability to take me on a high without using the drugs he supplies. Everything about this man made me quiver inside. I had a love/hate relationship for how weak in the knees I got when it came to him.

Ace wrapped his huge muscular arms around me and I rested back on his chest while the shower water ran down on us both. I could stay in this position for hours and hours with him, but unfortunately our time together was rapidly coming to a close. We had our lives to return to, and the loud ringing of my phone brought back that brutal reality.

Before I stepped out of the shower fully, I felt a harsh yet sensual slap on my ass which made me chuckle lightly. Wrapping an available towel around myself, I left my lover to attend to his cleansing duties by himself. I reached for my device in the nick of time and rolled my eyes at the Caller ID. It was a work call from one of my employees Johnathan, and I already knew that whatever the matter was could've been handle without my interference.

And just as I suspected, I was right. Sometimes I felt like I was running a daycare instead of an all black magazine that I built from the ground up, because dealing with the minuscule and childish issues my staff presented to me was enough for anyone to do a double take. I guess that's what happens when you hire your friends from college as workers, but I saw an opportunity for us all to eat even though they frequently made me question that decision.

Ending the absolutely unnecessary call with Johnathan, I placed focus on the fine specimen who was now in front of me. Ace's alluring body stood before me nakedly, dripping wet. I smiled satisfactorily at this image, eyeing him from head to toe. When our eyes met he gave me a cocky grin, giving me the impression that he was ready to partake in round number I can't even remember. I matched his expression, as I wanted nothing more than for Ace to devour my body and rock my world. Unfortunately though, that wasn't a wise choice and I had to think with my head before my pussy got us caught up.

"Save it for later." I murmured. "I gotta go."

"You always gotta go." Ace complained. "You just got here."

"I've been here for three hours, Ace." I snickered. "Someone's bound to notice my disappearance soon."

"Do you even care if that happens?" Ace snarkily questioned. "You've been moving real sloppy lately. Crazy how my brother's slow ass hasn't realized it yet."

"Alaric has been busy with work, you know this." I grumbled as I gathered up my things. "Why are you even thinking about him? You tryna blow up our spot?"

Ace sucked his teeth and annoyingly exited the bedroom we were currently in. He returned moments later with grey sweats on and a brewing attitude, and I felt his heavy glare on me as I got myself together to leave his condo.

"If I wanted to blow up our spot I would've done it two years ago." Ace snapped. "Don't ever accuse me of being a snitch, Dana. You already know how it is with me."

"Now Ace you know I didn't mean it like that." I sighed.

"Yeah, whatever Dana." Ace replied. "If you're leaving, I'm out too. I got some business to take care of."

Ace grabbed my keys from the dresser where they were placed and twirled the attached keychain around on his finger. I could tell he was pretty upset and decided to simply leave and not push anything further. Ace followed me to my car, and I caught him checking me out via my peripheral vision. The action made me smile mentally, for it was just a friendly reminder that this man couldn't stay mad at me even if he wanted to.

"Am I seeing you later?" I asked cautiously, propping on my car door. "You know, at the black tie dinner I'm hosting for your brother's new promotion? I know it'll mean the world to him if you showed up."
