I couldn't sleep. I always go out when I can't, so I grabbed my invisibility cloak and made my way thinking of going to the kitchen. Then I saw movement from the quidditch pitch. Who was playing in the middle of the night, I really wanted to know. I dropped my cloak before entering the pitch. "Hey!" I knew it was a Slytherin, I could see the green rope even in the dark. When the person came closer I could tell who it was. "Nice throws Black!" The younger boy landed a few meters in front of me, in the middle of the pitch. "What do you want Potter?" I casted the lumos spell and walked over to Ashton. "I thought I saw something from over here so I went to check, the I saw your amazing throws." He gave me a cold stare but his blue grayish eyes shimmered in the light of my spell. "Are you sure you didn't just want to spy on the enemies?" He looked proud, he always does. "Oh come on Black you truly are an amazing chaser! A few years and you might even be as good as me!" I sat down on the ground. "I AM better the you!" He sat in front of me, I was a bit surprised he wasn't scared to make his pajamas dirty. It was obvious that they were his sleeping clothes, green baggy pants and a black over sized shirt. Nothing someone like him ever wears. "I think this might be a little far Ashy." I smirked, he still looked cold. "Call Me Ashy one more time and you brain will be Ashy!" I laughed. "Your a brutal one, aren't you? No wonder you get along with Evans." I saw them talking before dinner, and she did take his luggage, so he must have been with her. "Well you saw who it was now, so would you mind pissing off?" Didn't know he knew even to swear. "Why don't we make a littel challenge? Whoever make more goals in 10 throws wins?" He raised an eyebrow. "Wins what?" Slytherin, fucking ambitious. "What do you wanna win?" He seemed interested. "For you to leave me alone, at least a month." That was way different from what I was thinking about. "Fine, if you win I leave you alone till October." He had a proud smile. "What do you want Potter?" "If I win," I paused, should I really say it? He's gonna say no. "I want you to go out with me." He seemed surprised, shocked even. "So?" I tried to stay calm. Why did I even say that? "Are you being Serious?" Fuck, his cold stare, why does he need to be so cold? "Of course I am, why wouldn't I?" I could have just said it was a joke, but I didn't. "So? Are you in?" He was already shaking his head, "No way!" Just make up something new James, "Why the sudden change? You think your gonna lose?" I didn't. But that one worked. "You know what? Fine! I'm in!" I smiled, why did I smile. I got myself a broom and joined Ashton in the air. "You start!" He three the quaffle over to me. First throw, goal. A great start, Ashton didn't have one, he missed. After ten throws it was 8:8, I was scared he would call it of. "What now?" He flew over to me. "It's a tie. One more throw." My great start came back, I goaled. His throw looked good, but he missed. I won. We landed on the ground, "Well congratulations Potter." It was obvious he was being sarcastic. But I kept my calm and smiled at him, "Thanks Ash." He sat down on the ground, I sat next to him. "Your throws earlier where better." He rolled his eyes, "I was nervous." I let out a little laugh, "I make you nervous?" He didn't respond, "So when are you free? You said you were a busy person on the train." I was sure he told the truth earlier, cause I hardly ever saw him around school the past years. "I haven't gotten the time to plan stuff yet." "Great! How about the first hogsmead weekend?" He didn't look at me, "Now way I be seen with you in public!" "Wow rude." He looked me in the eyes the first time, "Listen! Just because Sirius doesn't care, doesn't mean I feel the same! Family tradition is important to me!" His eyes looked mad and sad at the same time, "Says the one who chose a Muggelborn over their cousin." I made him even more angry, I knew that. "Someone like that isn't a big to be choosing over Sirius! He is a traitor! I'm not! Plus I'm not Gay, just so you know!" He got me angry this time, "Don't talk about Sirius that way!" I didn't say it but the last part was hurtful too. I didn't even know why, I wasn't either, was I? I haven't even thought of the fact that Ashton is a boy. I wasn't sure if that was transphobic, forgetting the fact that he was a boy, not a girl. I still remember how he acted at the beginning of first year. His long her over his face all the time, hiding his face. I assume it was to feminine for him. I didn't see him often, only when he was talking to Sirius. But Ash was always pulling on the dresses he was wearing. We could tell he was uncomfortable but we never said anything. How proud Sirius has been after Christmas Holidays telling us he's not the only boy anymore, that his cousin just came out and how cool his name was. "I'm sorry..." but it was wired hearing that boy apologizing. I looked at his eyes, you could see the tears building in them. "Are you okay?" He looked up to me, "I'm fine Potter!" I put my hand on his cheek, brushing away a tear rolling down his cheek. "You don't look fine." I haven't really concentrated on his face before, but he was very pretty actually. Pale skin, blue a little grayish eyes, Merlin this eyes. And his hair, this wavy black hair. Why have I never seen him this way before. He was beautiful, fuck he was. We stared each other in the eyes for a while, I didn't understood what got into my head. But I pushed forward putting our lips together. It was new, a wired but great new. He was such a cold boy but in this moment he felt warm. I wanted this moment to last forever, but the he jumped up, stumbling back a few meters... and ran. I didn't hold him back. Why did I kiss him? I was being so stupid! He didn't like me asking him out, he told he he was straight, so why? Why fall for a straight boy?
