Ok so this is the most commercial and best supported theory about what exactly deputy Jordan Parrish is. ok so let's get the obvious, NO's! Out of the way. 1: he is not a werewolf, why? Because A, his eyes glow a different color that any type of werewolf. B: he doesn't go crazy on the full moon(and yes I researched that too) and C: an alpha could barley live after that type of fire.( Jordan seemed just fine when he came in to the sheriff department after the fire). 2: he is not a banshee. A: banshees from Celtic mythology are alway women B: a banshee's eyes do not glow. and final 3:he is not a were-coyote, were-jaguar, canima, ect. For the same reason he's is not a werewolf. So after researching for quite a while, and according to other theroies, the most evidence points to Parrish... being...a...PHOENIX! I know right I never would have thought of that! But if you look at the evidence it really all points to this outcome. okay, okay I know what your thinking, HOW CAN HE BE A PHOENIX?!? THATS A BIRD! DONT THEY DIE WHEN YOU SET THEM ON FIRE?!? But not all of stereotypical Phoenix lore is like that. The Phoenix we are dealing with is not the type form Harry Potter or Narnia(sorry), but rather the type from Greek mythology. Now I know any P. J. O. Or H. O. O. Fans reading this will be like NO WAY!!! But it is true, in the world of ancient mythologies such as Greek and Japanese there is often a veil or obscurity that separates the magical from the normal, where it be the mist or a spirit just tricking you into seeing something else rather that it's true from, its alway been there and alway will be, in the mythical world. So I don't know if this veil is just not present in Beacon Hills or they just have an oddly large number of mortals that can see through it or what. But back to the Phoenix thing, Ok so proff that Jordan is a Phoenix is A: he was perfectly fine after a fire that would have killed an alpha. B: his eyes are a fiery orange-red color when they glow( not like Kira's hers are more of a soft orange color like a sunset). C: Greek phoenix's have an unusually ability to give strength to others. Crazy right? But we actually see an example of this in the show. remember when Jordan rescues Mr. Argent in the sewer? And Chris was nearly dead? Well Jordan could have used this power plus, superhuman strength, to save him. this would also explain why this is the first time we see Jordan's eyes glow. Okay so the last piece of the puzzle is some what strange when you first hear it but, if you think about it actually makes sense. D: remember the veil I was talking about earlier? Well creatures in Greek mythology, good and bad, use it, a lot, to hide them selves in the normal world. so my theory for why Jordan Parrish is a human Phoenix is this. an old bird Phoenix came to beacon hills and did its born from its own ashes thing, but the other supernatural things near it caused it to hide its true form by changing into a human. the human (Jordan Parrish) grows up normally not knowing what it truly is, then later is drawn back to beacon hills due to the nematon tree. This would explain why Jordan looks so young, acts very maturely, and never talks about any special people. Phoenixes do socialize, but are mostly shy and solitaire creatures. So last but not least is a piece of info that is right under our noses, in every single show in season 4. the main Theme of season 4 is "rising from the ashes" now we know this has symbolic reason for other characters in the show, but what if it is literally mean ms that for the new rising star in season 4 Jordan Parrish. When a Phoenix dies it sets itself on fire ( their are usually only a few in the whole world at time) then it makes it self a new body out of the ashes, thus allowing it to live for thousands of years.
So yeah that's my Phoenix theory for Jordan Parrish, and more what could he be theories are on their way!!! FLY ON!!!
