CHAPTER 1: UPSIDE DOWN

All my problems starts at school. One day Julia was just minding her own business. Everything was fine in French. Then James kept moving my hand from the table, I put it back, he moved it again. I was so agitated because of his annoyance. Like please just leave me ALONE!!! James is a seventh grader that also learns French with all the eighth graders.

Suddenly Julia, one of my closest friends, tells me to stop flirting with James; the seventh grader. THAT'S WHEN MY WHOLE FLIPPING WORLD TURNS UPSIDE DOWN. THAT ONE STATEMENT THAT JULIA HAD SAID WAS RUNNING THROUGH MY MIND LIKE A CHEETAH.

I was so shocked that she would say something like that. It didn't seem like a joke to me, but it did to my other peers. Yes I'm short, I admit that, but just because I am short does not mean you can just make fun of me. You don't see me making fun of tall people. Suddenly, Denis comes up and says something so cruel that just breaks me into one million pieces.

I was no longer this sweet and gentle girl... I became this crying and outrageous girl. I was outrageous about what Julia and Denis said. I was also crying becuase of what they both said. Julia has been my friend since 1 st grade. She has changed so much, both physically and emotionally. It felt like she became a robot with no feelings. It looked like she did not care about me at all.

There were tears on my red rosy cheeks. My nose was stuffed from sniffling. I just couldn't handle the fact that Julia thought it was a joke. I didn't find it amusing that I was crying. She tried comforting me, but I just felt like more filth was being poured onto me. I mean me and Julia and Denis always joke around, but this just made fall apart.

I wanted to tell the others because I needed some comfort, but because I was a forgiving person, I forgave Julia and went along. This was the day Julia really let me down. I was upside down.
