Chris released a deep breath as Jeong-In massaged his tensed shoulders. Well it wasn't just his shoulders that were tensed at the moment but his heart too. He wanted to trust Hyunjin, he really did, but the fear of what his kind had done to his parents was rooted deep inside his mind, which made it hard to trust the royal wolf. Chris was still exploring his special powers–something he never knew he had until recently– and he came to realize that one them was the ability of sensing royal wolves.
It was never his intention to attack the other Alpha like he did earlier, his Instincts took over. It wasn't that he could never really trust Hyunjin, more so that he knew nothing of him, and had been leery of the sudden, colossal influence he had on Felix. Chris was unsure of Hyunjin, watching him, not quite trusting him.
He's scared. Scared for his brother and his nephews. He knew to have fox Gene meant they have special abilities. Like how Jae manipulated Chris' mind into seeing his worst nightmare earlier, his brother was strong, so were his kids, but that still didn't ease his worries because he didn't know much about Hyunjin's family. But he had done a little research about them a few minutes ago after coming into his bedroom.
And what he learned about them wasn't pleasant at all, they're one of those rich anti-fox wolves in the country just like the King/president's son (Lee jung-gu) was. Chris didn't want to fail Felix again after everything he'd gone through. The truth was; Chris looked up to Felix. In so many ways, the omega was a role model, an admirable, driven individual who never let himself be defeated. Chris wished he could have just half of his brother's mental strength, not understanding how the man could even have gotten through such judgment and hardships in his life. If it would have been himself, he probably never could have taken all of that, would have let it destroy him.
Yet Felix had stood tall through all of it, had built a career for himself in a world that did not support him. Despite everything, he became exactly who he wanted to be: a self-sufficient omega who did not need to rely on anyone. And Chris truly admired him for that. But he still believed it's his responsibility to watch out for his brother. That's why he did the best that he could on doing that. Caring for his brother was his whole life and even with him possessing special abilities, Chris still didn't know if he could keep his brother and nephews safe.
"There's nothing you can do if Felix chose to be with him. You can't make his choices for him." Jeong-In said.
"I know" Chris sighed closing his eyes for a brief moment.
"The only thing you can do is support him."
"I'm trying" He replied.
"Try harder"
"That's what I am trying to do"
"Then stop being tensed about it, Felix saw Hyunjin's wolf in his head. You know what that means, they're destined to be together, they have children between them, and from the looks of it Hyunjin is really into our Yong bokkie. He loves him."
"I saw it, I saw it in his eyes, the way he looks at Felix– but am still not very convinced about it even though I know it is in his instincts to protect my brother and their pups."
"I never pray for something bad to happen to Felix or his children, but I have faith Chan, you should have some faith too"
"It's easier for you to say. Jeong-In, you weren't there when those wolves brutally killed our parents, and was about to kill us too, but we survived and I was sent to jail, my brother was left alone–"
"I wasn't there when it happened but I was there to pick Felix up from his broken and miserable state, so I understand just right how you feel, I understand your fear"
