 Caitlyn's POV:

"Huff, huff huff!"

I breathed in and out as fast as possible to escape from the place I was kept in.

Can't let him catch nor found me!

How could I have let him carry me to his place?!

How long did it take for him to take me there?

Yes, he is a vampire and can run fast....but...wait...

...where...where am I?!

All I know is that I am running from a place I barely even know and going nowhere.

I don't even know where I am...so how am I supposed to find my way to my home?!

And why did Kaden bring me to his mansion in the first place?!

Or should I say palace?

Doesn't matter right now, all I can think of is trying to run away from the Blood Prince and his palace.

Luckily it was easy to escape from that place...

Suddenly, I felt something behind me.

A presence.

I looked behind and saw nothing but when I looked up, I screamed.

I recognized the shape of the blackbird figures flying in the sky.

Eyes bright red.

The crows.

I began to sprint but the birds were now starting to chase after me like I was some sort of snack for them.

Where is the way out of this forest?!

They started to fly above my head. "Crow! Crow! Crow!" They keep repeating as they fly.

They then stopped as a whole group and dived toward me.

I screamed as they ran toward my face. I tried to cover my eyes and face and ran past them.

But I didn't realize where I was going when I slipped on a rock and fell. "AH!"

Everything went so fast that I couldn't even process what had happened.

I heard a clank, like something hitting the ground, and the next thing I know someone had reached and grabbed my wrist.

I was breathing heavily and looked up and I gasp in shock.

Kaden.

I saw that he was holding onto a branch that had grown onto the cliff's side.

The branch he was holding onto started to crack and was breaking apart.

Kaden's POV:

Damn it!

I managed to save the girl this close enough but that is not the worst part...
