Eli smiled at me and pulled me into a hug, "Promise me that you won't get hurt, Astrus." I smiled and nodded. "A cage..." he mumbled to himself, "I think Kord will be able to get us a cage!"
"You really sure about this, Eli?" I asked with a slight bit of uncertainty.
"Yes. Astrus, this is your idea and both Doc and I are okay with it. I'll ask Kord in the morning, or well, in the actual morning."
"Okay, I'll get my stuff ready for later." I looked down at my feet, a faint dusting of pink spread across my nose. "E-Eli..." I muttered.
"Yes, Astrus?" he said while leaning his head down level with mine.
"N-nothing. Just a thought that disappeared." Eli released me from his hug and walked over to his bedroom door and opened it. I looked at him blankly, "What?"
"You sleep in the bed, I'll sleep on the sofa." I gave him a serious 'I'm-not- sleeping-in-the-bed' look. He sighed, "Fine, I'll sleep on the bed. Just remember not to sleep on any of the slugs."
"I wont."
"Okay. Oh, and, Astrus?"
"Hm?"
"Love you," when those two words left his mouth he quickly slipped into the room and closed the door. I stood there, frozen. He said it...he actually said it out loud! I thought to myself and a smile spread across my face. He said it!!! I looked down at the slugs. Burpy looked up at me and gave me a grin and squeaked happily.
"He said it, Burpy!" I picked up the little slug and let him stand in the palm of my hand. "I can't believe he actually said it!" I squealed happily, then it hit me, he could still hear me. I blushed an even darker shade of red. I padded softly over to his door and knocked on it lightly with my knuckles. "Eli? You still awake?"
"Yeah, why?" his voice sounded muffled.
"Did you hear anything I said out here?"
"All of it."
"Thought so," I fiddled with my fingers nervously. "Um...Eli?"
"Yes, Astrus?"
"L-love you too." It was quiet on the other side of the door. Nervousness started to creep into my mind, Was I not supposed to tell him that? I asked myself a dozen and a half questions. I rested my head on the wall and sighed sadly, "I really have no idea what I'm supposed to do anymore." I walked over to the sofa and slouched into the comfy seat. Eli's door opened and my Tazerling, Spark, hopped out of the room with a note in his little nubby hands. When he hopped onto my lap I carefully took the note from him and opened it. A smile spread across my face and a lay back onto the sofa, Spark sitting on my stomach. I petted his head while he chirped. The door to Eli's room opened again, but I hardly heard it as I swiftly fell asleep on the sofa.

Eli, with a grin plastered on his face, was shaking me and woke me up. I groaned and tried to break free of his grip on my shoulders. "Why are you so cheery, Eli?" I mumbled.
"It's morning! Remember what you asked Doc and I last night?" he said as he helped me to stand up and looked at me with excitement. "We get to change you back! You won't have to be worried about loosing your necklace anymore!"
I smiled and giggled. "Yeah, I forgot."
