Prompt 8: Corn Maze

I really have to catch up, though I think that I'll just have to continue writing these into November because of my life and lack of a nonexistent schedule for free time.  I'll do them as I get around to them!

The Maize of Doom!!!

The postman (Ninjago's resident most powerful being) wheezes from exhaustion as he finally ascends the last step of the mountain.

"Guys, the mail's here!"  Lloyd yells, and the other ninja come running up behind him.

The postman glares at them as he offers up the single letter in his grasp.  "Can't you guys just use e-mail like normal people?!!  This is getting ridiculous!"  He sighs and looks down sadly at all the stairs that he must now go down.

"E-mail?  What's that?"  Kai asks innocently.  The postman sobs.

The ninja snicker and wave the still-unnamed postman off.  (He should really have a name by now, don't you think?)

"So what's in the letter, Luh-Lloyd?"  Jay asks, jumping onto his shoulders and yanking the letter away from the Green Ninja as soon as he's sufficiently distracted.

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!!!"  Lloyd whines.  "..And if you'd have let me read it, I could have told you already."

Jay sticks his tongue out at him and rips it open.

"What's it say?"  Cole asks.

"You are cordially invited to the Grand Opening of Bolobo's Corn Maize."  Jay reads aloud, snorting at the awesomely creative name.

"..All of the ninja will be granted a free day pass to the Maize, for one day only, to rekindle old flames, and to continue to establish lasting friendships with the other Elemental Masters in case we ever need to have foolproof alibis one day soon.  (No reason.)  See address below."

Jay gasps and turns to Master Wu, his eyes bright.  "Ooh, a corn maze!  I've always wanted to go to one!  Can we go?  Please?  Master, I want to go!  Are we allowed?  Can we-"

"Yes, Jay."  Master Wu massages his temples in annoyance, trying to block out the ringing, buzzing sensation in his old ears.  "In fact, you should all go now.  Leave me alone!  Shoo!!!"  He shoves them all off the mountain.

The ninja scream in terror before remembering that they have powers.  They summon their Elemental Dragons, looking very awesome and striking epic poses while they do so.

-Le time skip to the Maize-

"Here you all are!"  Bolobo shakes everyone's hand warmly, forgetting about Covid for the time being.  "My alibis-  Guests, are finally all here at long last!"  He sweeps his hand around, motioning to all the other Elemental Masters that magically appeared when I told them to.

"Mix, mingle, and in half an hour's time, we shall begin!"

Kai immediately heads straight to Skylor, taking her by the arm and leading her away a bit so that they can communicate in peace.

Jay and Lloyd head over to Griffin and begin messing about.

Cole speaks to Gravis and Shade, sharing cake with them as they talk.

Zane chats with Neuro and Ash, reminiscing about old times.  (The times that Zane was around for, anyways.)

Nya and Camille give each other suspicious glances, then fall into uneasy chatter, eventually warming up to each other and threatening each other cutely with their weapons.  After the other Masters separate them, they all gather.
