After all this time Victoria told Nick how she feels about him, but not how she had originally planned to do it. Will the two still be the inseparable duo that they were before?, or will they become complete strangers?.
After all that Nick and I had been through, he chose her, he chose Luciana. Nick and I are best friends but he doesn't see what I feel.
It started when we were all united at the ranch in Texas, after the helicopter crashed and Travis died. Alicia came back with Jake carrying the wounded Luciana. I watched as they came up the path, Nick rushed to them, my heart was crushed into a million little pieces as I watched.
Madison, Nick's mother, saw it in me that day, she and I had became close after all that we'd had been through, she promised to get me back to my dad, and I believed her.
Madison put her hand on my shoulder "Victoria" she said as she slowly pulled me into a hug, minus her own grief she found it in herself to comfort me, she took me back to the cabin her family and I all shared, we cried together, over the loss of two people we loved, her husband being killed, and the love of my life, the person who I thought was my second chance at a will to live swept away by someone that he barely even known.
We heard the door open behind us I didn't care I just kept sobbing into Madison's chest, "what's wrong" I heard from the voice in the doorway of the room ask, the voice belonged to Nick. Madison and I both turned to face him, he knew why his mother was crying but why was I "Vick" he said walking over, he put my hand on my shoulder "what's the matter?" he asked me as he looked into my eyes, I was so angry at myself for not saying anything to him sooner, I'd call it jealousy but at that moment I just had to get it off of my chest "you don't see it do you?, you've never seen the way I've felt" I said then paused, he took his hand off of my shoulder "the way my heart shattered when you chose her.....you know it doesn't even matter" I said as got up and walked straight out of the Cabin.
I walked down one of the paths within the ranch, Nick following close behind me, I had a look on my face that begged for air luckily, Jake had seen me and stopped me "hey Strand, we're going out to search for who shot down the helicopter, wanna tag along?, Alicia told me that you were good with a gun". I thought for a second, still having Nick on my tail I looked back at Jake "yeah, I'll go". He nodded and gave me a pistol, Jake got into the truck first then helped me up onto the bed of it, I glanced at nick once more, he shook his head at me and mouthed the words 'we'll talk later'.

Jake was kind to get me out of the situation, "thank you" I said while pointing my gaze in his direction as the truck sped off, he nodded "you looked like you could've use a break" he said. He was right, I did need a break, "I wanted to ask you something" Jake added, "ask away" I said. "I seen the way you handled a gun out there, we could use you on our militia, with that being said, will you join us?'" He asked. I thought about it for a second, it would really piss Nick off if I put myself in harms way, "yes, I'd be more than happy to" I replied softly.
Sooner than later we arrived at the crash site and after a few hours of searching we found absolutely nothing, we ended up getting back to the ranch before dark so nobody came looking for us. When the truck came back through the gates Nick was already waiting for me, I got off the truck and Nick grabbed my arm softly and pulled me aside in an empty room. I sat down as he looked at me "what do you want me to say Nick?, do you want me to say that I didn't say anything because it would ruin our friendship, because that would be true!, or do you want me to tell you that I know Luciana won't wanna stay here and she will end up leaving because that would be true too!!" I exclaimed
He looked at me "that is your excuse?, you say she's gonna leave just so I can be with you?!" He replied in a yell, "It's no fucking excuse Nick, for fuck sake!" I got up from my spot. "We're not done here" Nick snapped at me, I turned to face him "yes we are, this discussion is over!!" I walked out, tears rolling down my cheeks, I walked past Alicia and Madison, they tried talking to me but I wouldn't speak.
It truly wasn't Alicia's nor Madison's fault, it was my own, I should have kept my mouth shut. But how could I?, I respected Luciana for the short time that I've known her, I don't have anything against her, she means no harm. I just want Nick, but the way he's acting like a child...it's not him.
