*May include small spoilers, couldn't help it due to how much I adored this general fiction*
Stairway to Heaven is by far one of my favourite general fiction's on SaHad. What makes this story stand to me specifically is the beauty of Mateen's character development and the relationship between him and Hajra. Generally, I do end up disliking fanfics - no matter how beautifully their written - due to the usual hate to love story, in which the male lead is so toxic and ends up having literally no consequences for the female lead simply forgives them, without thinking about their self-respect. I absolutely adore that unlike all those generic stories, Hajra does not let go of her self-respect and actually waits for the signs of change, actual repentance and doesn't simply forgive Mateen instantly. I also love the fact that Mateen actually spends time feeling guilty, repenting, and unlike many male leads doesn't just shamelessly go asking for forgiveness after like a day or two of realising, who expect the female lead to forgive them.
Honestly, I could go on and on about the things I liked about this story specifically, but that would mean it would take at least an hour to read this review, and honestly, I doubt anyone would have the time to read that. I had initially read this book for it featured SaHad, and was slightly worried in the earlier chapters that story would turn out the same as the generic hate to love stories (which I talked about earlier), but I continued reading due to the beautiful way everything was penned do and I do not regret my decision one bit because my initial assumptions were completely wrong. I 100% recommend this story to literally everyone, because it absolutely amazing and the best thing is that you don't need to watch any show or movie to be able to understand the context of this story for it's a general fiction.
