Chapter 1

Megan POV

I've been walking around the streets of New York for over an hour, not really knowing where to go. I can't believe I was such an idiot, he promised it wouldn't happen again. That he would never lay a finger on me again. But here I am, a black eye, a cut lip and possible broken ribs. All because I called him out for cheating on me. I had no one, my family are gone. No friends to speak off because of him.

There was only one person I knew in this city, one person who I had treated so badly I don't think he could ever forgive me. Yet here I am, standing outside his door. Hoping he will answer and hoping he won't slam the door in my face.

The door swings open and there he stands, handsome as ever, his smile drops when he sees me.
"Megan?"
"Hi Seb"
I slowly pull my hood down, and I see him notice my face.
"Shit! Meg what happened?"
I shake my head and feel my self for the first time in a long time break.

He wraps his arms around me and pulls me close, noticing me flinch as he does. I know Seb would never hurt me but having any man touch me makes me feel scared. He walks me into his apartment and I see he has company.
"Shit Seb! I'm sorry, you have company I should go"
"No don't be silly. Everyone this is Meg, Meg this is Chris, Mackie, Scarlett, Lizzie and Margaret"
I smile and wave awkwardly.
"I'm sorry I don't mean to interrupt"

Chris comes over and shakes my hand "you didn't. Are you okay?"
Noticing my face, I try to hide it.
"Yeah, just bad accident. Seb? Can I go clean up?"
He nods and walks me to his room, he grabs me some clothes and points me in the direction of the bathroom.
"Thank you Seb"

He nods and smiles "come down when your ready"  I smile and head on into the bathroom, I shower and try and scrub away this horrible day.

Seb POV

I can't believe she is here. Meg and I go way back, we have been friends for a long time. I knew the guy she was with, he was a dick, has been from the start. I tried to warn her but all she did was push me away. He had his claws in her so deep I couldn't do anything. I just hope that this time she would listen to me.

As I walk back to the kitchen, I see Margaret looking less then pleased. We have been dating for a while now, she is a little possessive and it's kind of annoying.
"Sebby, what is she doing here?"
I see everyone look at me. "Meg is an old friend, she needs some help right now and so I'm helping"
"She's not staying here though right?"
"Yeah she is babe, she needs help"

She huffs and walks away. I look over and chris is rolling his eyes. None of the guys like her and the girls can't stand her. He joins me with a beer and we engage in some small talk until I here the sound of feet shuffling on the floor behind me. She was always a shuffler.

"Sorry. I was just wondering if I could get a glass of water"
"Of course"
She walks over to me and I pass her some water, she thanks me and drinks it quickly. Then I notice the finger marks around her throat. He strangled her. She see me looking and tries to hide the marks.

"I'm just going to hang out upstairs, I interrupted and I'm sorry"
"Wait Meg"
She turns and I smile, "stay please. We have pizza on the way and we are going to watch a movie"
Before she can say anything I hear Margaret
"Sebby. We didn't order enough for an extra person"
Meg looks down to the floor "it's fine Seb I'll just go upstairs"
She walks away before I can even say anything.

I turn to look at Margaret and she is smirking.
"What the hell? You know damn well we have enough food"
"Well sebby....."
"Don't sebby me. She is my friend and I'm going to help her, if you don't like that then maybe you should leave"
She stomps her foot and huffs "fine. But you'll come crying back as always"

She storms out and I make my way upstairs to get Meg to come and sit with us. I knock on the door and see her sitting on the floor crying. I slowly walk over, sitting next to her and gently wrapping my arm around her.
"It's okay, I'm here"
She sobs into my chest and I hate it. How can anyone hurt her like this? She is the most amazing girl I ever met and she doesn't deserve this.
