Dream yawned as he fluttered his eyes awake.
"God- my neck." He tried getting up- but he couldn't... It felt heavy.
"Huh?"

All the mers were laying on his chest, sleeping happily- while hali was biting his tail.

"Oh god damn it." Dream had an unimpressed look, seriously.
"Alright- all of you get off." He picked them up individually, placing them onto George.
"I have work I need to do... there's a lot I need to do."

They all woke up when Dream moved them and began crying... they were all very petty.

"Fuckkk- OKAY." Dream groaned before picking them all up.
"Just sit in the pockets whilst I wander." He placed them all in each pocket, leaving hali on the bed.
"I have stuff I need to do"

Hali whined, scratching himself repeatedly .

"Are you alright hali..?" Dream looked down, seeing scales on his cheeks.. he understood what was going on.
"Ohh.. your shedding."

He picked hali up, holding the baby mer under his arms.

Dream remembered when it happened to george a few times.
"Oh?" He looks at hali's tail forming different colour scales.
"Uh.. George- we might have a problem.."

George mumbled, adjusting himself in his blanket.
"Mm.." he mumbled.. he's been wanting to sleep for awhile.

"George." Dream looked over at the merman, speaking louder... he didn't know if hali was sick or not.
"Wake up."

"What.." George mumble, glancing over at Dream
"What happened.." he sat himself up.
"I'm up..."

"Hali won't stop scratching- and his scales are changing.." Dream held hali towards George.
"Is this gonna happen to everyone?" He muttered.
"Or is it bad."

"No no, this is a good things."
George carefully grasped hali, looking at his tail before chuckling- shaking his head.
"There's many different types of merfolk out there and all are different..." he looked at hali's lower back before back at his tail.
"Hali seems to be a lion fish mer, cute."

Dream stared at George.... A lion fish?! You have to be fucking joking.
"Are you joking-" he blinked, looking down at hali.
"Please tell me you are... he's not a lion fish-"

"Nope! See! He's growing itty bitty fins." George hali up, showing his small fins.
"Hes a lion fish! Aww he's gonna be so cute when he's done shedding! Like a baby lion!"

"Will he be poisonous..." Dream looked down at hali, he didn't want him to be bad.
"Cause I swear to god- I can't be wearing iron gloves to hold him or using an iron suite."

"Nope." George's smile grew.
"Besides! Your immune! Your a merman too."  He rubbed his eyes, looking at Hali's new pattern.
"He is getting green scales like you!"

"But there red-" Dream cocked a brow in confusion.
"Or well some are red." He tilted his head.

"That's what happens to most baby mers- there scales turn red before there turn to a new fresh colour." George nuzzled hali.
"But we should get him something warm... do you have anything warm and I guess moist?"

Dream sighed, walking off.... Yeah he had an idea.
"I'll be right back." He knew what to get for hali

"What did you do.." he stared at the two.. dream came back with hali.. it's just-

"Burrito." Dream held hali up.. what did Dream do..
"I made him into a fishrrito" he hummed.
"He's cute."
