Elephant-Nosed Benthos or Snooths

Scientific name: Elephansimilis pisciumni

-Live in the largest and deepest saltwater bodies on their planet, which can as deep as 400 feet.

-The "nose" is actually a mouth/proboscis.

-Males of the species have pouches that hold the eggs until they hatch.

-When the current gets harsh, they use their proboscis to hold onto a Zanthoa or another Snooth

Bloodbug or Theches (Thech is singular)

Scientific name: Consumovitas bositiacus

-Around the size of a ladybug (males) or maybug (females).

-Harmless to most living things, except the Zanthoa, who the Theches parasitize.

-Orange in color due to a large number of carotenoids located in their plastids. The carotenoids help protect them from UV damage.

-Are eaten by snooths and amphies.

Saltwater Hyperion or Zanthoa

Scientific name: Cniderilata falsora

-Can grow up to 28 feet, with lots of variation in size based on nutrition and space available.

-A keystone species in the saltwater lakes on Nacirema.

-Similar to anemone and coral.

-Snooths eat parasites that harm them and a safe place to live, and the Zanthoa gets parasite removal.

-Look like flora (plant), but are actually fauna (animal).

-The bright "stem" that looks like a strange tree trunk is actually where its internal organs are located.

Faux lazul crab or Amphies

Scientific name: Colloso psarocarcinus

-Their intelligence is comparable to dolphins and crows, with complex social groups, and simple tool use.

-Look like a giant grab.

-Being an aquatic species, Amphies cannot survive on dry land for very long (the record is 4 minutes and 27 seconds), and will only go on dry land if it thinks there is easy prey.

-Their intelligence is comparable to crows or dolphins. They can problem solve, remember faces, use basic tools (stones and sticks), and

-Are huge, the juveniles are around 3 feet tall, the males are almost 7 feet tall (6 feet and 11 inches to be exact), and the females are slightly smaller (6 feet 8 inches).

-They are omnivorous, they'll eat anything. Coral, meat, algae, if they think it is food, they will attempt to eat it.

Mustache Fish or Sterai

Scientific name: Abnalis carnphytum

-They have long, stinging tentacles that are used to catch and paralyze prey. Once paralyzed, it uses it's long proboscis to bring food to its mouth located on its underside.

-The "Mustache" it has is actually an organ used to sense stuff like

-Will go into a state of torpor if they are taken out of the water, and if not put back into the water after 72 hours, it will die.

-The Reproduce asexually.
