chapter 1

The first day I saw her in that house, just knew who she was. There was no mistaking it. Tohru Honda, the daughter of Kyoko Honda. I tried so hard to find her but that other idiot got to her first. I just can't stand this pain anymore. It's like this painful throbbing in my chest that won't go away. I keep lying, saying that I don't love her. I'm just so stupid for not admitting it.

Now, we're standing in the early hours of the morning as it rains. She keeps saying how she loves me, but she just.. can't. I'm such a monster, a horrible person. I killed a two people. I made my father extremely disappointed. And I'm just so, so, so worthless.

I can't control it. My legs just start.. moving. Away from her. Farther... and farther.. away. I already miss her. I just left her in the cold, all alone.

My legs finally tire out and I stop not top far from the house. I just start crying, and I can't stop. It's like a waterfall that's been held back by a boulder for years, decades even.

Something in my gut tells me to go back after a few minutes to apologize to Tohru. Once I get there, I see Shigure and Akito in the doorway. Akito looks emotionally hurt. Shigure says something about how Tohru fell off a cliff and a wave of shock hits me. I don't care that I'm tired, I run again. Run because my life depends on it.

It can't be possible, she can't be hurt. I can't loose her too. I love her so much, more than anything else in the world. But somehow, she is hurt. She's bleeding. Covered in dirt. I reach out my hand to touch her head, and it ends up covered in blood. The tears come again. I have a feeling it's the end, but I won't give up. I love her too much.

Suddenly, she wakes up. She tries to talk, but not much comes up. She says shes okay. I tell her to keep quiet.

Then, I kiss her. Something I've been wanting to do for so, so, so long. I need to kiss her just in case she leaves me too.

I definitely don't want that.
