Chapter two

"Just think only 2 more moons until we become apprentices!" Squealed Butterfly'kit.

Lavender'kit spaced out for a moment.

"Oh I forgot actually." She spoke truthfully.

Butterfly'kit started to giggle and laugh.

"It's not my fault I couldn't remember!" Lavender'kit hissed as her short fur puffed up.

Butterfly'kit giggled and teased as Lavender'kit protested.

Honey'wood would sigh,

"I remember when I was little I'd fight with my littermates all the time! It was hilarious." Ivy'vine said as he sat down by Honey'wood at the gathering.

"I really missed you." Honey'wood said, booping her nose with Ivy'vine, making sure no one saw.

"I missed you too."

They act just like him...

Honey'wood thought as Lavender'kit came running to her.

"Mama!" She cried out angrily as Butterfly'kit chased after her.

"What are you two up to now?" She grumbled but hid it well.

Lavender'kit started explaining as Butterfly'kit sat down and rolled her eyes.

"That's no way to act to each other!" Spoke Honey'wood.

Butterfly'kit soon apologized and they went on with their day.

But the worst happened.

While Mountain'view and Evening'sky were out patrolling they got into an argument with Amaryllis'clan and Ivy'vine killed Evening'sky.

The Leader, Silent'star announced it as soon as it happened.

Honey'wood's eyes widened with fear and soreness.

Now she really hoped no one found out that Ivy'vine was actually Butterfly'kits' and Lavender'kits' father.

2 moons later

Butterfly'kit jumped up and down as she called her sister, who didn't seem as excited.

Today they will become apprentices.

"Aren't you excited!?" Butterfly'kit said, waving her tail back and forth.

Lavender'kit shook her head, a bit nervous really.

"Not really, I mean what if I'm not good enough." Lavender'kit said truthfully.

"I mean when we always played warrior and prey you always caught me! I think you'd be a good hunter!" Butterfly'kit said, smiling as she sat next to her nervous sister.

Honey'wood shook nervously as she went to get her two kits in the nursery.

"Is it already time!?" Butterfly'kit said happily.

Honey'wood nodded, nervous and excited for her kits' ceremonies.

Every-cat was already outside, honey'wood walked with her kits and soon sat next to Bramble'blossom.

Silent'star soon spoke.

"Today we have news, today marks the day of a ceremonie for Honey'woods' and Bramble'blossoms' kits. They have learned and respected our warrior code and are ready to become apprentices. I will start by asking our ancestors, Starclan, to guide these young apprentices to become great cats.
