Once they arrived at SHIELD's base, Isabel was quickly sent to get a checkup by the scientists there. Fury wanted to make sure that Isabel's 'sassy' alter ego wasn't at risk of returning.
This obviously didn't sit right with Isabel. She knew it was completely unnecessary because this time it wasn't her fault, she didn't lose control, agent 319 wasn't the one attacking...it was her. Under Loki's mind control, ofcourse. But it was her, she remembered every single moment, and at any given time she could've let Agent 319 take control so it is easier for her, but she didn't. She stayed strong. And now she felt like she was being punished for it.
"Can I go now?"
The scientists ignored her. Having heard her ask the same question about 40 times in the last 10 minutes.
"Look, I'm fine. It's me, Isabel. Mind is completely at bay. I'm good, now can I go?" She asked but didn't wait for an answer as she was already standing up, removing the different wires attached to her skin.
"Miss. Stark, you must sit back down at once! We have not finished your examination yet-"
"And you never will. I'm not saying that you're all a bunch of incompetent scientists but..." she not so subtlety implied that they were all in fact incompetent scientists.
The scientists couldn't help but think how much the girl resembles Tony. It was clear to see that the Stark's sarcastic arrogance was rubbing off on her.
"We are trying our best but you're case is diff-"
"I know you are trying your best, but the fact is that your best isn't the best. You don't know anything about my mind or how it works. It's completely different than anything you've ever learned. And I may not understand my mind completely either but I know it. And I've known for hours now that my mind is fine. So if you'll excuse me I'm leaving. I'm tired of being your little lab rat." She said, completely fed up, as she strutted out of the room.
Something Isabel hated was the current testings and labs they would frequently run on her. She hated it. It reminded her of very dark memories of her past. Being poked and injected with different stuff every day and running inhumane experiments on her. All of this would pull her back into those painful memories.
"Miss. Stark! Miss- someone notify the director!" The scientists yelled at each other as one of them followed Isabel out.
A small alarm started to echo throughout the entire ship. Dramatic... Isabel thought. But even as the alarm sounded and the scientists chased behind her, she kept walking like nothing was happening, acting completely oblivious to the tiny mayhem occurring due to her 'escape'.
"An army from outer space. So, he's building another portal?"
Isabel heard the voices of people discussing and decided to follow the sound, like the curious cat she was.
