The Day Before
Sacramento, California
"The Elite 10? Sorry, but as a New Yorker, most of the West Coast and Central state affairs don't really reach me. I'm afraid I haven't heard of them." Izuku said.
"This is good. I can make the group seem more presentable than it actually is, and if all else fails I always have the black envelope." The girl in the mask thought.
"The Elite 10 is a group of people, much like the Titans, who help fight crime and protect people. The main difference being that the Titans are stationed in New York, and we are stationed in California and Texas. We also don't have Justice League supervision, we act on our own." The Masked Girl said.
"You're asking me to join a vigilante group. I'm sorry, but I'm sure you can tell I have no such skills required for the job, nor do I have the interest of being associated with one. My internships would terminate me on the spot if they were to find out." Izuku said.
"Then why not a sponsorship position. We do things you want when available, in exchange for financial aid when available. A pressing compromise, If I do say so myself." The Masked Girl said.
"It'd keep me out of the spotlight, however it'd still be risky towards those who monitor my finances. I'm sorry but I really can't accept this offer. I do wish you and your group the best of luck in your future endeavors." Izuku said.
"I understand. It's a shame I wasn't able to convince you to join our ranks, my colleagues will be most disheartened. I wish you the best, in case certain problems start to come your way." The Masked Girl said.
"Certain problems?" Izuku questioned. Just then the car came to a halt, right outside the place Izuku was staying for the time being.
"They were watching me? How long? How much do they know?" Izuku thought, placing a protective hand over his watch.
"Now that you know of our existence, and that you're close to people associated with the Justice League, some of our members might find you to be a...loose end. And well, I'm sure you know what happens to loose ends." The Masked Girl said.
"They either get tightened or cut off." Izuku said, his face turning slightly pale. The Masked Girl made no further comments, and instead opened the door for Izuku to get out of the car. He hesitated to step out, not knowing what would happen if he did. He looked at his watch one more time, before squeezing it and looking up.
"Would you like to discuss this further inside?" Izuku asked. He couldn't see it, but he knew there was a smile being worn behind that mask.
"I would love nothing more."
Present Day
Jump City, New York
"Well son, you're first official meeting as leader. Even I still can't believe it's happening." Dick said, typing on the central computer in the living area. Cory was currently pacing the the room back and forth and Starfire was sitting in the couch, sipping green tea from an Arizona can.
"So much weight to carry, and it's only day four. We'll have our first patrol in two days but before that we'll need to train as groups. After the first patrol we'll need to work on fighting as a group of six, but I fear that doing that will take decades." Cory said to himself.
"Sweetie, slow down. The first step is always the biggest, but it's also the easiest to mess up. Why don't you bring the rest of the team here so that we can go over the game plan?" Starfire suggested.
"That's a good idea, yeah. Once dad gets the button ready, we can go over the plans I've come up with." Cory said.
"Did you run these plans with Fantasy by any chance?" Dick asked.
