Jane Everson had recently re-opened Everson labs, though instead of working to create a vaccine now Everson labs was developing A.I and androids. Jane had realised that with the new laws allowing nursery owners to regress just about anyone they liked with the smallest amount of evidence the adult population had slowly reduced to a point where even nursery owners were being accosted by their employees and regressed after a minor legal issue so that their employees could take over the nursery. Jane knew that if this continued then so humanity would be reduced to a point where there would be too many infants for the remaining adult population to care for.
After a few months they had achieved what some thought was impossible, a fully independent and self-aware A.I that could remotely control androids who were also A.I and self-aware but with a lower processing power and so the central A.I had a degree of control. Additionally the vaccine drug had been refined by the A.I so that it could physically regress an adult human to 6 month old infant in 2 hours, but as the human mind could not accept such a rapid change the A.I also developed the drug to ensure that the recipient went unconscious for at least three hours after administration.
The new global government had already seen the prototype android, and given the authorisation to roll them out globally, any nursery owners who objected would automatically be regressed, but they did not know that yet.
