"Human.. can't be trusted."
"Why do you say so?" Her eyes still glued on the computer, clicking the keyboard when she could only hear a sigh escaping her friend's mouth.
"Just saying. By the way, are you going to stay here until midnight? Don't you feel scared to be alone in this office.." She started cleaning up her desk and wearing her jacket.
"Hm, I don't believe in ghosts."
"If you say so. Then, I'm going," Chaehyun patted the friend's shoulder as she walked towards the lift.
"Who's going to pick you up?! Your boyfriend?" She asked out loud from behind the tall transparent glass.
"Hmm," She hummed as a thin smile formed on her lips. She entered the lift and slowly watched the door closed by itself before it started to move downward.
A sound of phone ringing in her pocket as she slowly pulled it out to see a notification from her boyfriend.
DOYOUNG : Sorry.. I can't pick you up. I'm busy.
"Busy as always.." She sighed before starting typing on the phone when the loud thunder startled her. "Ah, I forgot to bring my umbrella."
CHAEHYUN : Okay, Please don't forget to rest well. I love you.
DOYOUNG : I love you too.
Within five seconds, he replied to her. Chaehyun smiled at the message. "I thought his feelings for me had disappeared.. he still loves me."
She waited outside the building and stopped a taxi. The rain became heavier and it's hard for her to see the night sky from the foggy mirror. Chaehyun leaned her head against the car's window with her head down as she felt tired through the whole day of working.
Even though she needs to work everyday and be tired everyday, just thinking of her boyfriend could make her happy. 'I can't wait to arrive at home' , 'I want to see his face' , 'I want to be in his embrace'.
She felt the taxi stop and saw the red light from the traffic light. She lifted her head up and wiped some fog on the window to see the outside when she saw something that just broke her heart into a million pieces. Tears rolling down her cheeks when her lips tried to force a smile when she saw him with another woman in the convenience store.
Chaehyun opened the chat app and sent something to him.
CHAEHYUN : Did you eat well?
DOYOUNG : Yes, I did. How about you? It's raining, how did you go back home?
