The quinjet flew through the sky, all Avengers in it including the vampire herself, watching all of her friends that Wanda got into minds sitting quietly, faces blank, but Bruce. Because Wanda got into his mind, Hulk didn't take it twice times good and did a pretty mess in the city. They won't arrest him, but it's in the air.

They all see him as a threat, a monster, something Evelyn never did. It's not Hulk's fault at all. Yes, he did mess, but it was because he was hallucinating. Evelyn know how it feels, to see your biggest fear. Fortunately for her she didn't went rapid.

The black-haired girl looked from Natasha at her best friend sitting in the corner since they got into quinjet. She knows that he saw something, that Wanda got into his mind, but the question is what did he saw? What is his fear, she never figured out. He never really talked about it, neither did she with hers, but he always looked and seemed to Evelyn like the fearless hero he is. And she was always looking up to him, comparing herself to him how it would be if she wasn't a vampire, wasn't what Hydra woke up in her, a monster.

Since she got away from Hydra, she never saw herself more than a monster, the killing machine. But, she aceepted it, because that's what she was turned into. That's what Katherine turned her into, what she was made for. She's not the sweet little girl she used to be when she was human, that's something she forgot. To be a human, how it feels to be a human.

But she doesn't care, doesn't care how pathetic and happy her human life was. She only repeats in her head that her life is better the way she is now, knowing it's not truth, but trying to believe it.

Sighing defeated, she stood up and made her way over to her very long best friend, one she would like to have forever, even though she know she can't, and sat across from him, her eyes fixed on his face.

"Whatever you saw, know it wasn't real." Steve looked up from his lap at his shorter best friend across from him, not saying a word, her face unreadable. "Wanda just messed with your brain, showed your biggest fear, to all of you." The two looked at all in the quinjet, knowing they all saw something but Clint, as she didn't get the chance to get into his mind.

"I don't know what you saw, even though I have idea what is it, I don't know. But know one thing," Evelyn now sat beside him, leaning into him as she rested her head against his shoulder, playing with his fingers. "I'll be always here to help you. No matter what, I'll always protect you. Always and forever."

Steve smiled sadly down at the girl, glad she's in his life. He couldn't wish for better best friend, even though one is still missing. Both of them miss him, and until they find him, they will have each other.

"Always and forever." Steve repeat her sentence, remembering how many times she used these three words. The thought it's sentence for immortals he pushed away, wrapping an arm around the black-haired girl, pulling her close. She's becoming more and more clingy, not to Natasha, not to Thor, just to him, and he don't mind. Opposite, he's glad he can have his best friend with him. Something he missed for more than 70 years.

"Wanna switch, buddy?" Evelyn suddenly asked Clint, realizing he's been sitting there and controlling since the fight and none of them but him know where they're heading.

"No, I'm good. Get some sleep, Fang. You haven't sleep in days." Clint pointed out after giving her a glance, making her mumble "I don't need to sleep." under her breath stubbornly.

"Yeah, yeah, right. You always say that and then you're knocked off like-" Tony cut himself off when his eyes landed on his friends sleeping, the vampire cuddled in the captain's arms. He patted Clint's shoulder, making him look confused up at Tony then at the two best friends sleeping. Both of them must admit, it's the cuttest thing they ever seen.

"How long did they said they're best friends?" Thor asked, again forgetting in what year they met.

"Since 1933. Been together in war, then 70 years separated from each other." Natasha, who also noticed the two sleeping and caught what they were talking about, replied, still shaken from it all. There was comfortable silence between them, before Tony grabbed a blanket and threw it over the two, Tony then quickly snapping a picture.

___Morning___

The quinjet finally landed in nowhere, just a single house in the area. None of them know where they are nor have clue as Clint led them towards the house and inside. Evelyn cringed at the really bright green grass, not even believing it can be that green as she followed suit after Thor inside, Steve and Bruce right after her. The five of them look confused around whilst Natasha and Clint seems to know what is this place.

"Honey? I'm home." Clint calls into the house, looking around while helping his best friend walk. Suddenly a woman comes from behind a corner, confusing the five of them even more. "Company. Sorry, didn't call ahead." The woman kissed Clint like she haven't seen him in years, then hugged him tightly.

"This is an agent of some kind." Tony suggest, looking up at Thor.

"I don't think so, Tony. More like maid to me." Evelyn slightly shakes her head, not taking her eyes of the two hugging. "Or sister. Girlfriend. Who knows." She shrug her shoulders at her suggestions.

"Gentlemen, Fang, this is Laura." Clint introduces the woman to them after they pulled away, both of them smiling while he kept his arm around her waist.

"I know all of your names." Laura pointed out, Tony waving awkwardly as none of them know how to react. Evelyn then caught footsteps from above them and after a while others too, then a small voice called "Dad!"

"Hi, Sweatheart! Hey, Buddy! How are you guys doing?" Clint picked up the little girl, hugging her along with the older boy. Who are these little fellas? Thought Evelyn, watching the two kids and Clint hugging happily. Are those his kids?

"These are smaller agents." Tony added, still blankly as Evelyn fixed him with "Mini agents."

"Did you bring Auntie Nat?" The voice of the little girl caught Natasha's attention, her face changing from blank into huge smile as she makes her way over to the girl.

"Why don't you hug her and find out?" The girl jumps into Nat's arms, hugging her tightly. Since a when is Natasha a damn Aunt? Before me?

"Sorry for barging in on you." Steve apologizes like the gentleman he is.

"Yeah, we would have called ahead, but we were busy having no idea you existed." Tony joins, irritated Clint never told them.

"Yeah, well, Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off SHIELD's files. I'd like to keep it that way. I figured it's good place to lay low." Clint told them, holding his family close. Evelyn's face turn from confused into soft one, smiling sadly at them.

"So this is your family?" She asked, looking at each of them, feeling the happy energy radiating from them while many memories ran through her mind.

"Yeah, this is my family." Clint nodded, not understanding why she asked but didn't ask. Evelyn nods and look away from them, seeing Thor destroyed a lego house accidentaly with his foot, chuckle leaving her.

Thor suddenly started walking towards the door they came in, only Steve following him whilst others gave him confused look. Evelyn overheard Thor saying he needs answer because of the dream Wanda gave him and flew of.

Evelyn walked towards the door where they left, seeing her best friend standing there frozen in thoughts before turning and walking somewhere off as she watched after him, leaning against the frame.
