Happy was walking around the library when he glimpsed something.

It was down a long hallway and he only saw it in his peripheral vision for a second, but it made him double take.

A few corners and a long hallway away, there was a glowing white door.

Happy narrowed his eyes at the door and jumped as Tipper landed beside him. He took a moment to think.

He couldn't just leave Leaf, but he might not have another chance like this. And after what he'd seen the previous day, he wasn't sure how long he could last in here.

Quickly scribbling a note and handing it to the crow, he turned and made a break for the exit. The hallway seemed to darken around him as he ran and he felt himself tremble. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he heard an explosion, but he knew it wasn't real. A table fell in front of him, but he jumped over it, stumbling a bit before he kept running.

And with a flying leap, he threw himself into the white doorway.
