Ever since we entered the contest, I've noticed things changed in the atmosphere.
I'm not that dumb. I just don't get this uneasy out of the blue. Then I saw it. A drone? Yeah...a drone. Someone definitely knew how to operate it obviously, and I'm not the only one as well.
I acted like nothing was there even though I'm pretty sure it probably saw me staring at it from the tree, me standing so awkward and stiff st the crosswalk while I waited. I just needed to get home fast and quickly but I needed to lose the damn drone off me.
Pulling out my phone, I texted Kayo to meet me at a convenience store at the corner of where I live so I can talk to her about it. She was there none less than three minutes since she drives.
"Kayo!" I waved towards the blueberry, her waving back as she came over and giving a quick embracing hug as I giggled alongside.
"You called, plus I'm hungry and I ran out of ramen." She gave a sad pouted look, crossing her arms as she tilted her head towards my direction. "Soo, what happened?"
"Shh." I quickly grabbed Kayo's wrist, dragging her all the way to the last isle, hushing her as she yelped. "We're being watched. But it's not me." I squinted my eyes as I peeked around the isle corner, seeing the drone settle on a bus bench across the street as I huffed.
