The Origami King: Prism Saga

~Chapter Three~

Cosmo flew through the forest and stopped when he found a small town. He looked around for any toads, "Huh I thought there would be at least a single toad."

A figure cloaked in shade ran by and startled Cosmo. "Hey who's there?" Cosmo challenged. The figure stepped forward Cosmo still staying in the shadows. Cosmo thought for a moment 'It seems they don't want to be seen. But why?'. Cosmo silently walked towards the figure. "Who are you?" Cosmo asked.

The figure stepped out of the dark revealing a giant blue glitter glue bottle. They looked at Cosmo and chuckled, "I am the Fantastic Fationesta! I am Glitter Glue! And I shall make your death a beautiful work of art!" They said their cap unscrewing.

Cosmo froze for a second but got their act together and flew away GlitterBottle quickly following. Cosmo doged another glitter bomb from the Fantastic Fationesta and charged up an attack. "Take this you overgrown glitter lamp!" Cosmo said blasting GlitterBottle with a light spear. Once they were hit Cosmo flew out of their line of sight.

"Oh great Rainbow Road I was supposed to be finding toads." Cosmo sighed. They froze when they saw a shadowy figure behind them. "I finally found you..."

Cosmo was surprised when he was pulled into a hug. "I saw you looking for others and I was so glad this means you're not working with that glitter bottle right?" Cosmo looked at the figure and saw that it was an orange Shy Guy.

Cosmo sighed in relief. "No, but do you perhaps know where any others are?" Cosmo asked. The Shy Guy nodded. "Follow me, I'll show you where the others are!"

Cosmo followed the Shy Guy into an abandoned house in the corner of the town and led her into the basement. Even before they were in the basement Cosmo could hear other people there. I mean it's pretty hard not to hear a toad's shrill voice.

"Everyone that GlitterBottle hasn't taken are all down here we were looking for somebody to help us and that's when we heard you! I saw you getting chased by the Fationesta and knew I had to help. Anyway GlitterBottle has everyone else at the center of the town all glued to the fountain. She said something about some Kakarauri guy. Do you know them? I mean she only tried to kill you." The Orange Sky Guy said.

Cosmo gasped, "Yes I do! Kakarauri is an evil sorceress who's trying to destroy all kingdoms! She's also kidnapping those of royal blood like Paper Princess Peach. It's terrible!"

After hearing this the Orange Shy Guy ran and came back with a bag of suppise. "Well then it would be terrible to send you off on your own. I'll join you on your quest to stop this glittery foe! Oh and the names Asahi by the way." They said confidently.

Cosmo thought for a second, "I don't know I already have some people helping me already and I'd hate it if you'd got hurt...but I do need the help so welcome to the team Asahi!" Cosmo Cheered.

But the twos celebrating didn't last long as a chuckle broke out, "Did you REALLY think that pathathic attack would stop me? Oh no no no I just used you to find out where this was and oh that plan worked out spectacularly!" GlitterBottle beamed.

The two heroes looked up at the sparkly bottle in fear and Asahi spoke up, "Hey you still have to go through us!" She said pulling out a katar (A type of weapon similar to a dagger, look it up for more info) and getting into a fighting stance.

GlitterBottle laughed, "Alright then lets dance shorty!" They laughed. Asahi gasped offendedly, "How dare you! Us Shy Guys are born like this!" They rushed up to the glitter bottle and tried to strike it with the katar but before they could attack they were hit with glitter glue and were stuck on the ground.

"Alright, that was a fail Cosmo a little help here?" They said, but Cosmo was busy advoiding the glitter bombs as well.

After a while the shooting stopped and GlitterBottle started to charge up  a special attack, "Haha try avoiding this attack!" They laughed. Luckily Asahi managed to use their katar to get themself out of the sticky situation they were in and jabbed the bottle before they could attack and glitter glue came seeping out of the wound she made and Asahi stepped back. "How dare you! That's no way to treat somebody as great and fabulous as me!"

Asahi just rolled her eyes through her mask. "Oh please, you look like a five-year old project." They mocked.

GlitterBomb gasped and hit Asahi with a bomb attack which they luckily dodged. Cosmo used a light attack creating a red projectile in the air,m and Cosmo threw the projectile at the glitter bottle, "Take that you fiend!" They said, GlitterBottle turned and shot a bomb at Cosmo who used a yellow light shield to block it.

After a while GlitterBottle stumbled before dashing out the door. "I know when I've been defeated but don't think this is over! My leader's goal shall soon be reached and you'll regret ever working against us!" They said dramatically.

The two looked at each other and smiled, "You fought amazingly!" Cosmo praised. Asahi blushed behind her mask and chuckled, "You were amazing as well!" She said the two were shocked when they were pulled into a big hug by the others.

"Woohoo you guys did it!" A toad said. "Yeah we would've been in hot water without your help!" A koppa cheered. As the crowd separated from the two headed out making sure to pass by town center freeing the citizens stuck to the fountain as well getting another hug from the captives and lead them to the others.

Suddenly the two found themselves outside standing at the edge of the town getting ready to head to the Rainbow mountains. Cosmo looked at Asahi, "Are you sure you're ready for something like this? From what we've just seen Kakarauri isn't going down without a fight and we may not be able to all survive her terror..." "Stop that! Cosmo as long as I'm by your side I'll make sure this team is as strong as diamond!" She interrupted. Cosmo smiled knowing it was the best choice he's ever made letting the Shy Guy inside the team. The two walked out of the town and towards their next goal.
(MORE THAN 1000 WORDS!?! That's a record for me! Anyways Asahi and Cosmo head to the colorful mountains a new teammate following but that was barely the start of this journey)
