She suddenly opened her eyes. Something wasn't right. She wasn't supposed to be here. She was supposed to be... dead. She started to run her hands over the body to find any wounds, but she did not feel anything. She could swear a moment ago she had a knife in her stomach.
"Are you okay? I did not shoot you, right?" She raised her head to see a pair of green eyes looking directly at her.
"I think I'm... fine?" She answered, still wondering, why is she even alive. She wasn't alive!
"I'm sorry, I thought you were an animal and..." In front of her was a woman, who had long, brow hair and a yellow bandana. She put her bow behind the back and look again at the girl sitting on the ground. "Oh, you are a kittie!" She said pointing to her cat ears.
"I think... I am dead" the girl said after a moment of silence.
"So, you're a DeadKittie should use it as your new name!" The woman said smiling. She reached out her hand to a stranger.
"New name?" Kittie took her h.nd. The woman helped her to stand up. "But my name is..."
"Shhhh!" Archer put a finger on her mouth. "Don't tell it to anybody!"
"Why?" The girl asked surprised.
"Frostiner!" A quiet voice came from the forest soil. A woman with a bow looked in the way from which a voice came.
"I have to go, but I hope we meet again!" She said to a cat girl smiling and then ran into the forest.
"Uh... bye." DeadKitte muttered under her breath while looking at how the mysterious woman disappeared behind trees. "What I'm supposed to do now?" she thought looking around.
This place was weird, but she couldn't say why. The forest seemed different from the one she used to spend time in when she sneaked out. Every tree, bush, or just blade of grass was so odd, but it was hard for her to describe what way it was different from the one she was from.
She noticed a path right next to the place she has just woken up. She decided to go this way, whatever it gonna take her. Kittie was hoping she found some people. She wanted to know where she is and why. She was confused.
Kittie was going down the row, looking around. She could not find anyone, but she noticed a small pond. On the edge was landing some junks like bowls, stinks, and... a broken rod. She took it from the ground and look closely. It was broken but still could work. Kittie looked at the water.
"Why... not?" She thought. Something told her to try it. She cast the fishing line and waited. After a few moments, she noticed that the bobber started bouncing on the water and pulled out the rod. She caught some cod.
"At least I won't die because of hunger." She said to herself and tried again. And again. She started to like it. She caught a few fishes, some leather, and even a diamond (who put that in water?)! But she did not know what she can do with it. Especially the sky started to get dark which wasn't a good sign. She needed to find someplace to sleep.
She went away from the pond and noticed a small hut not that far. She decided to check if someone is there. But knocking did not give results. The hut looked abandoned. DeadKittie didn't have a choice and just walked inside. The room was in cobwebs and dust. "That's better than nothing." She thought and l lay on the couch.
She closed her eyes and tried to sleep. But hours passed and she didn't feel asleep. "Maybe dead people don't need to sleep." She signed and got up. Outside was still dark, so she didn't want to go there. As a cat, she was able to see in the dark, but there could be a danger. She decided to look around the hut, so maybe she gonna find some clue about what she was supposed to do.
