Samreen jolted awake, the first thing she did was turn and look at Katerina, Allie, and six-day-old Jesse (or JJ) who were in the back seat. "You otay Aunt 'Amreen?" Katerina asked her Aunt. "Yeah, I'm fine Kit-Kat," Samreen replied, she reached behind and patted JJ's soft tuff of brown hair, Samreen still couldn't believe that the amazing man of Jesse Lee Moore was gone, they were originally going to name JJ, Max, but when she went into labor so soon after Jesse dying, Max no longer felt right, Jesse "JJ" suited him, it was also funny seeing Deandra call him Cowboy and saying that his middle name should be James. It was also heartbreaking because Allie saw what happened to her Daddy, but she still couldn't fully comprehend that Jesse was gone.

When Samreen turned around and relaxed into her seat, Deandra spoke, "you ok?" Deandra asked, not willing to take any of the bullshit Samreeen had been throwing around for the past week. "I'm fine," Samreen responded. "Another nightmare?" Deandra asked her baby sister, Samreen didn't respond, only pinched the bridge of her nose. "Wanna drive awhile?" the older sister asked, Samreen turned to her older sister and let out a laugh. "Deandra, never in your whole life have you asked me that," the younger laughed. "Just thought you might want to, never mind," Deandra said, letting out a little sigh of her own.

"Look, sis, you're worried about me and Allie. I get it and thank you. but I'm perfectly ok... I don't know about Allie though" Samreen sighed. Allie hadn't been the same since Jesse died. Which was understandable, but it didn't quel Samreen's nerves. "Mhm," Deandra hummed, not buying it. Samreen sat up a little more and looked at the map, "alright where are we?" Samreen asked. "We are just outside of grand junction," Deandra replied, not taking her eyes off the road, but she did glance at Katerina, Allie, and JJ in the back.

"You know what," Samreen sighed, putting the map down for a second, "maybe we shouldn't have left Stanford so soon," Samreen said in a voice low enough that Allie and Katerina wouldn't be able to hear it. "Samreen, we dug around there for a week, if we're going to find the thing that killed Jesse," Deandra said in a voice at the same level as Samreen. "We gotta find Dad first," Samreen finished. "Dad disappearing and this thing showing up again after twenty years, it's no coincidence, Dad will have answers. he'll know what to do," Deandra said.

"It's weird, sis, these coordinates he left us, this Blackwater Ridge," Samreen said, looking back down at the map, "what about it?" Deandra asked, "there's nothing there. It's just woods," Samreen replied. She set the map down again and looked to Deandra for answers like she did the day she got her first period. "Why is he sending us to the middle of nowhere?" she asked.
