This takes place in the Medieval AU and is based on the picture above. (I don't own the art, credit goes to the owner)

This takes place a few years after the black plague (which was in the 1300s,) so I'll try to be as accurate with everything as possible. And yes, I research what clothes they wore, if they had certain things. Now usually, in the 1300s, girls got married at 12 years old and boys at 14, Imma age them up into their 20s. So we're all good.

(A/N, Should I keep doing these 'brief backstories' or just go right into the story with no context?)

3rd POV (following Ochaco)

Wake up, have breakfast, go to work, tend to the people, go home, sleep, repeat.

That was Ochaco's schedule ever since she turned 16. Ever since her parents died of the Black Plague 20 years ago. She was 4 when it happened so she doesn't remember them. Her adoptive parents took her in and gave her a job working at their bar, Mystic Tavern. She is now 24 and has a job as a waitress and a bartender. She has a casual bartending outfit with her late mother's red scarf hanging from the small corset she had around her waist.

Ochaco grabbed the used wooden cup and put it in the sink, before grabbing the soap and the sponge before she began to wash it. She hummed quietly to herself as she finished washing and grabbed a nearby towel and began to dry it. When she finished with the dishes, she grabbed a wooden tray and walked around, collecting money and dirty dishes, and took them back.

She placed them on the counter and tied her long brown hair back into a bun with two strands at the side of her face. She heard the front door open and someone walking closer. She could tell it was a knight because of the sound of metal clanging with each step.

"A cup of your finest rum please."

Ochaco turned around with a smile and grabbed a cup and held it under the tap and some rum began to pour into the cup. She handed it to the man, she smiled at him. "What brings a man like you all the way out here?" The man took a sip of the drink and placed it on the counter in front of him.

"How could you tell I'm not a local?" He questioned with a small smirk. Ochaco chuckled and nodded to his belt "that's a crest from the palace in Shiketsu. Don't see many of you guys around here." The man smiled but what caught Ochaco by surprise was his hair. The man noticed her staring and chuckled "strange isn't it? Doctors can't explain it but I think it suits me very well."

The man smiled "what's your name Mrs?" He asked, holding out his hand for her "Ochaco Uraraka, and it's Miss, not Mrs." "Oh? No lover?" She shook her head negatively, reaching for his hand but he grabbed the tips of her fingers with his gloves and kissed the back of her hand "well, nice to meet you, My Lady. I'm Sir Izuku Midoriya at your service."

Ochaco blushed and pulled her hand out of his grasp and cleared her throat. "C-Can I get you anything else?" She asked, trying to hide her blush. The knight retracted his hand and took another sip of his drink before setting it down on to where it was before. "I'd like some roasted meat." Ochaco nodded "I'll have it ready soon." Ochaco turned around and began to prepare the food.

"Is anyone else working here or is it just you?" He asked, looking around. Ochaco put the cooked meat on a plate she grabbed and shrugged "Wednesdays aren't particularly busy so it's just me. That's why there aren't many people here besides you." "I see, and to answer your question from earlier; I serve His Highness in Shiketsu. I am a knight in his army. I was on a mission here but it ended earlier than expected so I decided to stay local before going back." "I see, anyways, your food." She announced, putting the plate with the mean right next to his cup.

"Thank you, My Lady." Ochaco blushed at the name and grabbed the tray from earlier and went around the pub, picking up the dirty dishes and putting them on the tray, before bringing them back and placing them in the sink. "Do you need some help?" Ochaco looked back and shook her head "no no, I'm fine. I've been doing this for years now and I like cleaning." Izuku chuckled "and besides, if you do help me good sir your armor could rust."
