We stop by the grocery store and grab a bunch of food (and paying for it). We park the car at another friends house leaving a note. We slowly creep up the driveway with our flashlights turned on and pointed down so that my aunt wouldn't see it. We take our stuff up to my room. I grab a huge bag for food and drinks. We head out for our month of adventures! Creeping down the stairs slowly, we make sure to skip the steps that creak. We head to the back door, slipping and hiding in each corner if we hear anything. Seeing the back door up ahead we open it slowly trying to keep it from creaking. We slip out the old French door. Cold air whips around my face, blowing my hair all around. I begin to sprint towards the woods. I look back and see Stephanie stumbling, probably because I took the lightest bags and our food bag. Stopping, I wait for her to catch up whilst I catch my breath.
I see her coming up to me and stand up. "Let's walk this time, K?" Stephanie says breathless.
"Fine" I mumble.
Suddenly, I scream out. "I HOPE YOU CAN SEE ME NOW MOM! LOOK HOW FAR I HAVE GONE WITHOUT YOU! HOW DARE YOU KEEP THIS FROM ME!!"
"I HAVE GONE FARTHER THAN YOUR COWARDLY SELF EVER THOUGHT!"
Stephanie looks bewildered for a second then joins me. "DON'T BE MAD AT YOUR DAUGHTER OR I, IT'S YOUR FAULT!"
Gaining our composure we set up camp cleaning up sticks and things that could possibly harm us, I set up the tent and looking for a safe area for a campfire.
