*It's morning down on the Quintess farm & Lincoln had woken up to a sight to behold; Belle was stretching with her rump in full view of the albino haired boy's face. He clears his throat letting Belle know he was awake, causing her to stumble back in shock. She then walked up & gave him a peck on his head.*

BELLE: Are you alright?

LINCOLN: Yeah...

BELLE: You know you can always talk about anything to us, if you want.

LINCOLN: I know.

*Both stared at each other & were about to kiss, only for a knock to interrupt them.*

BILLY: Belle, get your big butt in gear or you'll miss breakfast!

BELLE: What did you say!?

BILLY: Bye!

*Belle & Lincoln immediately get dressed to join the others, while she gives him a wink while passing by. They were having blueberry pancakes & Lincoln got a plate with extra syrup on it.*

LINCOLN: Guys, you don't need to do this.

LEE: After what you've been through yesterday?

FORD: Don't worry about it.

BILLY: Yeah!

ED: Lincoln, I'll need ya ta come with me. As for the rest of you, git to work.

*Everyone finishes eating & head outside to do their chores. Both Lincoln & Ed get into the truck & head off to who knows where.*

***TALL SKYSCRAPER***

*Driving for a while, they finally stop at a tall building. Lincoln wasn't sure why they were here, but something told him it wasn't good.*

ED: C'mon.

*Ed hops out & Lincoln follows him. They enter & Ed immediately heads for an elevator. He saw many floor names, most doing with financial or legal business. Ed clicks the button for the seventh floor & they ride up. Getting out of the elevator, Lincoln finds this floor has been labeled for those who work for lawyers. Gulping, he follows along & both make it to one of the various doors. Ed knocks & a voice tells them to come in. Inside, Lincoln meets an old bald man with a small gray beard dressed in a dark blue suit with a red tie.*

ELDERLY MAN: So this is the boy?

ED: Yeah. Lincoln, this is Bruce W. Smith. Finest lawyer I've ever worked with.

BRUCE: Well Lincoln, it seems you've been through heck & back.

ED: Ya have those documents I asked for?

BRUCE: Right here.

*The old man pulled out some papers all neatly together & handed them over to the farmer. Ed gives this a read for a couple minutes & nods.*

ED: Everythin's in order. Now Lincoln, this here in mah hands are somethin' that could get ya out of your family for good.

LINCOLN: Adoption papers?

ED: Part of it. However, for this ta work, we'll need to take this to court with yer family & we'll need signatures from yer parents & yerself of course.

*Lincoln thinks for a moment. Does he really want this? He's not on good terms with his family, but there's no way a court would show mercy. A few of them don't deserve this.*

LINCOLN: I-I don't know.

BRUCE: Kid, if Ed was telling the truth about what your family did to you, they need to be punished.

ED: I don't want ta force you, but if they return & do a stunt like that again, I WILL force mah foot down. Thank ya for the documents Bruce.

BRUCE: Anytime.

*They both head out & make their way to the truck.*

***QUINTESS FARM***

*The truck arrives back & once back Lincoln notices Billy carrying something colorful inside.*

ED: I'm gonna head out. Think about it.

*He drives off once Lincoln gets out. The albino haired boy heads in & finds a beautifully wrapped gift sitting on the dining room table. He reads the tag on the side.*

LINCOLN: "To Lincoln, from your loved ones."

*He scowls at the thought. They really think a gift would be enough to solve everything. Yet, throwing it out would be a waste. He heads up to his room with it & enters, locking the door behind him.*

LINCOLN: Might as well see what they got me.

*Lincoln opens the gift & is shocked to see what's inside; It was his Bun Bun, more of a stitched together version of him. Along with it were some Ace Savvy comics he hadn't read before & at the bottom was his cellphone, the one he left behind, with its charger sticking in it.*

LINCOLN: Wow...

*He checks his phone to find various text messages from his friends, all asking about why he ran away. But he notices one of the texts had a video. It was from Lori. Lincoln was thinking of deleting it at first, but he decided to watch it. The video loads & shows old family videos of the good times, when he was younger. He remembered them all, how couldn't he? The video even cuts to current moments in black & white. Recordings in the home, showing him helping & caring for them all.*

LINCOLN: I knew it! Lisa did have cameras in the house.

*Despite that he keeps watching. Showing the times his friends come over & hang out or do school projects together. Lincoln saw all he did for them, yet he wondered why they sent this. Near the end of the video, it cuts to his family all looking sad.*

RITA: Sweetie, I just want you to know. I'm sorry. You were right. I'm stupid. We ALL are.

LS: You do so much & barely get anything in return. I never realized what you did for our family, none of us did. And we just took you for granted.

LORI: You have every right to be mad at me. You should be free to date whoever you want. And I'm sorry for how I treated you & our sisters.

LENI: Linky, I'm sorry.

LUNA: Bro, I failed you. I should've stepped in numerous times, but I didn't. I'm making sure nothing bad happens to you from now on.

LUAN: I really am a monster. Jokes are supposed to be funny, not make everyone afraid of me.

LJ: ...Sorry.

LUCY: You truly are a good brother & yet I didn't have your back. I'm sorry.

LANA: I shouldn't have blocked off your door. I'm sorry.

LOLA: You might not forgive me, but I'm willing to change. And I'm sorry

LISA: Male sibling, I must apologize. I could have shown this to our parental units in advance, but I let my fear cloud me. You have my word I will change.

LILY: Wincoln... *Gibberish.*

LS: Son, you're the glue that keeps this family together. There's no telling what would happen if you weren't with us. Things are going to change, that's for sure.

RITA: Come home Lincoln.

LOUD SISTERS: Please?

*The video ends with the ever so famous replay symbol. Lincoln was frozen in place trying to process all of that. He couldn't help but cry. Was he wrong to run away? Do they really care? So many questions swirled through his mind that he felt a bit light headed & landed on his bed. A little shut eye might help, but a certain someone might make it a little difficult.*

Alright, next chapter done! I can tell the conclusion is coming. What will happen next? Stay patient & you'll find out eventually...
