Thatcher sighed, drinking his coffee. He had been stressed for days, so many missing cases..Vampires running wild..He didn't know what to do.
He felt..Tense. Like something was watching him. He grabbed his holster, shaking.
He heard a creak, he quickly pulled out his gun and pointed it to the random person.
It was Dave.
"Oh- Shit..— AUH-"
"Huh? Wait what's wrong?-"
Thatcher realized he was pointing a gun at the brunette.
"Oh, shit, sorry."
He put the gun back in his holster.
"Anyway..Uhm.."
"Hey, Thatch..You seem tense, you alright?"
Thatcher huffed.
"No..I'm stressed..So many missing cases.I don't know where anyone is..My recent promotions is also stressing me out..God, I'm tired.."
Dave thought to himself..
"Hm..How about we go to a coffee shop later?"
"But— You don't like coffee?"
"I'll just get tea."
Thatcher smiled at Dave.
"Alright."
The day had ended, but Thatcher had something to look forward to.
He got to his house, opening the door and huffing.
He went to his room, taking off his uniform and grabbing his towel.

Meanwhile, Dave was calm, already out the shower and getting dressed. He put on a grey hoodie and black jeans. Though he was actually a little nervous, he actually hadn't been with Thatcher anywhere in a while. He just wanted to see Thatcher less stressed.

.Ring, Ring.

Ring, Ring."Yello?"
"Hey, Uh, Dave..I'm ready."
"Alright, coming to pick me up?"
"Mhm."
Dave sat still on his couch, day dreaming until he heard a honk.
He opened his door and it was of course, Thatcher.
"Hey Thatch!"
Dave walked to his Car, getting in.
It was nicely cleaned, smelt like cologne and cigarettes.
"Ready to go?"
"Mhm!"
Thatcher started the car, huffing.
Dave smiled, he was honestly pretty excited to talk to Thatcher about some things he hasn't told him yet.
They arrived to the coffee shop, both of them getting out of the car.
They got inside, Dave was more excited smelling the air..It smelt good. Like creamer and whipped cream..With a hint of..Eugh..Pumpkin.
They got a table, both of them sitting down.
"Soooo, this place is nice huh?"
"Yeah, I like it!.."
Thatcher smiled at Dave, he smiled back.
"I recently got my top surgery, no more binders." Dave said nervously.
"Oh! Congratulations! I'm happy for you!"
"Heh, thanks! I was actually pretty scared getting the surgery.."
"I'm glad it was successful." Thatcher smiled warmly.
"May I take your orders?"
"Oh! Uhm, I'll just have black coffee."
"Eww..Black coffee?..Gross.." Dave snickered.
"Oh shut up."
"I'll have peach tea."
"Alright! Your orders should be here shortly."
"I can't believe you like black coffee."
"I can't believe you like milk." Thatcher glared jokingly.
"Pffft, shut up."
The two laughed, Dave was happy to see Thatcher laid back and less stressed..Actually enjoying himself.
Dave knew he was never gonna lose this friend.
Their orders eventually got there, Thatcher drinking his black coffee slowly, Dave sipping his tea.
"Mm..This tea is actually pretty good!"
"Hey..I have a question.."
"Ask away!"
"Uh..So.."
Thatcher looked nervous.
"I'm..I— I'm..Okay so I lied it's not a question."
"Mhm, just tell me!"
"I'm so glad we're friends, Dave. Best friends. You've helped me so much these past years. Please promise me we'll never stop being friends."
Dave looked surprised, then smiled at Thatcher.
"I promise."
