you
Walking into the place i called work, i go in to grab my green apron and go out to take orders. 'I cannot wait until I'm finally out of this place' sighing, I walk over to a table.
Putting on my best smile I say "Hello! welcome to milky way! anything i can get you dear?" the ravenette at the table responded with a simple nod and said "the chocolate cake-pop and a latte" "name for your order?" "Rena" she mumbled "ok then, coming right up" I responded with.
After a few minutes of waiting, I arrive and give the ravenette her food. "That'll be €8.14, how would you like to pay?" "Debit...please" She mumbled. Nodding I took out the machine.
Staring at her while she inserted her card, I realized the most noticeable thing on her is a big, pink bow with a plastic gem- I assume-adoring the middle of it.
Noticing that I've been staring at her, she asked if she had something on her face
Embarrassed, my [s/c] cheeks turned red. "Sorry! I just zoned out?" saying it more like a question she hesitantly nodded she goes back to studying and I quickly sped away to avoid any trouble with her and my manager.
A while later, I heard the door chime, I go to see who left and realized that it was the girl with the bow...Rena right? 'Oh, she left her bow here, such a shame there isn't a lost and found' Thinking to myself with an eyeroll. Walking over to go grab it and put it inside my bag secretly hoping she doesn't come back later for it.
Looking at the clock, see that it's 6:30, the end of my shift. smiling, I go out to say goodbye to Dori, my friend, who weirdly enough works at the same place I do. "bye Dori! love you" I yell out to her on my way back home.
'Jesus, taking the bus home was as fun as watching paint dry'. Getting interrupted mid-thought by a notification, I quickly open it to smile as I realized who texted me, Ben, my fiancé. he proposed to me at our graduation to which i said yes, only agreeing to postpone the wedding until we were finically stable enough to afford one.

As she walked through the door, she breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, HOME. She kicked off her shoes and made her way to the bathroom. The warm water from the shower washed away the day's worries. She stepped out, wrapped herself in a fluffy towel, and changed into her favorite pair of PJs. As she settled onto the couch, she reached for her phone.
There were notifications from friends and family, but she ignored them all. Instead, she rummaged through her bag; her fingers brushed against something soft. She pulled it out and smiled at the sight of a PINK BOW. Without a second thought, she lifted it and placed it on her head. Looking into the mirror, she couldn't help but laugh at the sight of herself.
She picked up her phone, snapped a picture, and then scrolled through her gallery for a few minutes. She found the picture of a sunset she took on her last vacation to HAWAII and reminisced about the trip. She also found a picture of her old, and her heart swelled with love. She set her phone aside and lay down on the bed, still wearing the bow. Her thoughts drifted to the day's events. As her eyelids grew heavy, she reached for her phone one last time. She opened Spotify and listened to her calming music playlist to put her into a relaxed state.
She set the phone down and closed her eyes, feeling the stresses of the day melt away. She drifted off to sleep, the pink bow still perched atop her head, unaware of the fact that the gem was glowing and that a certain somebody was laughing with glee at the sight of it.
