As consciousness slowly seeped back into your senses, your eyelids fluttered open, adjusting to the dim light filtering into the room. Blinking groggily, you found yourself nestled in an unfamiliar bed, the sheets strange against your skin. The fabric was soft but had a different texture from what you were accustomed to, adding to your disorientation. A surge of confusion swept over you, prompting a thorough scan of your surroundings, only to find yourself alone in the room.
The space was simple yet charming, with wooden furniture polished to a warm sheen and a faint scent of lavender lingering in the air. The soft rustling of leaves outside the window created a soothing ambiance, though it did little to quell the growing sense of unease within you. Sunlight filtered through a set of partially open shutters, casting dappled patterns on the wooden floor. Just as the tendrils of bewilderment began to tighten their grip, a voice sliced through the silence, jolting you from your reverie.
"Ah! Darling, I'm so glad that you're awake now!"
Startled, your gaze snapped towards the source of the sound, only to meet the familiar visage of Lisa standing in the doorway. Her emerald eyes sparkled with relief and a hint of amusement. She wore her usual witch's hat and flowing robes, which were slightly rumpled as if she had been sitting by your bedside for some time. Relief washed over you like a gentle wave as you realized it was all just a dream. Yet, a tinge of disappointment lingered in the recesses of your mind at the fleeting nature of the illusion.
With a faint smile, you nodded in acknowledgment of Lisa's presence, silently grateful for the return to reality. However, before you could fully collect your thoughts, a gentle hand touched your shoulder, drawing your attention back to the concerned expression etched on Lisa's features.
"Are you okay, darling?" she inquired softly, her voice laced with genuine concern. "You fainted while I was talking to Yanfei."
Yanfei? The name stirred no recognition within you, prompting a quizzical furrow of your brow. "Huh? Who is that? And I'm alright, thank you," you responded, attempting to mask the lingering confusion that danced at the edges of your consciousness.
Lisa's features softened as she began to explain, her words weaving a tale of mystery and intrigue. "Oh right! Yanfei is a lawyer here in Liyue. She was helping me because apparently someone stole the books we came here to collect," she elucidated, a heavy sigh punctuating her explanation.
