[Prism PoV]

I woke up to the sound of shouting down the hall.

"What in the lowest depths of hell is happening out there?" I grumbled, getting up and looking out the window of my cell door.

There were some humans with another abomination, this one thrashing around and screaming as they tried to escape their grip. The tasers the humans were jabbing them with probably wasn't helping all that much.

Wonder who this is... I thought.

As the humans got closer, I recognized the struggling abomination.

Is that Butterflywing? Great, just great-

*BANG BANG* "TIME FOR TESTS! You're with the new ones this time!"

"Hope to the gods not Butterflywing I'm against," I grumbled as the humans grabbed me. They shoved me down the hall to the testing chamber.

As we entered, I noticed another new girl there as well. She was small (but still taller than me) with silver hair and cat ears, an angel wing and a demon wing. I recognized her immediately.

"QUICKLIGHT!" I called out, but I got a strong electrical shock in my back. I winced.

"Quiet, freak," the human behind me hissed. Quicklight put her head up, noticing my call, and waved, only to get tased. She grimaced, and looked back down to the ground.

"What the HELL, I was just saying hi!" I growled at the human that tased me. He replied with another jab-shock to the back.

As usual, a human talked over the speaker.

"Good, good. Now fight!"

A decoy abomination rushed at me, it's stance poised to attack. I quickly gathered the colors around me, creating a spike-like tentacle that impaled the decoy, instantly killing it. I noticed Quicklight simply send her decoy to the aether realm.

Some humans came in and grabbed a hold of me.

"Alright, back to your cell!" One said angrily. I rolled my eyes as the humans shoved me back in my cell, along with a little food for me.

At least they have the decency to feed us, I thought. After eating I fell back asleep - using magic is really draining.

Not long into my nap, I heard the door of my cell open, and the stumbling footsteps of someone getting shoved into the cell.

"Prism?"

I blinked awake. I knew that voice.

I sat up and looked to the voice. It was a girl with a fishlike tail and webbed wings, her eyes the color of the deep ocean.

"Atlantic?"
