"What were you doing sleeping out the couch Liam?" I woke up and saw that is was mum asking the question.
"I let Emily sleep in my room." She nodded then headed off to where ever she was going.
I got up off the couch and headed to my room to check up on Emily. I walked into my room and she wasn't there.... The screen was missing from the window as well as it being opened. I saw a piece of paper on the bed so I picked it up and began to read it,
'Dear Liam,
Well I'm not quite sure where I'm going but I know it's somewhere. Thank you so much for offering to let me stay with you, I didn't want to be a burden. I've always been told I am. You are a very nice and caring lad so don't change. I didn't stay 'cause I didn't want to dump all of my crap on you. Plus I wouldn't have been there long anyway. One day I know I'll see you again. Well until then good bye
~Emily Amelia Grace xx'I have to find her. I ran down the stairs and out the front door. I got in my car then started driving. I have to find her. I haven't known her for long but I feel so protective over her.
~Emily~
I have know idea where I am. All I know is that I'm somewhere, where my parents won't find me. Hopefully. I have a good reason why I ran. I'm dying and I'm not going to be around much longer. I just didn't want him to find me dead one day. I stood up and started walking again.
"EMILY!"
I turned around and saw that Liam was running towards me. For some reason my 'fight or flight' kicked in, so I ran. I kept running and he kept yelling after me. I tripped over a bump in the side walk and whipped out. Liam was then beside me, probably saying something but I wasn't listening. I was more focused staying awake, that amount of running plus no food equals probably passing out.
