"Where am I going again?!" Robin Called, standing at the front door to the clubhouse where the friend group lived. He can hear footsteps descending the staircase. Vance stepped off the last stair and walked into the living room, towards Robin. He's tying his long blonde curls up into a messy ponytail so he can make food for Bruce, who currently has a cold and is resting in his room. When he reaches Robin, He sighs. "How many times do i have to fucking tell you? It's the Grab n Go, it's down past your school, then go through the alleyway by the GameStop. It's a shortcut. You'll see it once you go through there," He says, And pulls a notecard out of his pocket. "Tell Glenda, the lady at the counter, that i sent you. Give her this code if she asks." He hands Robin the Notecard, which has the number sequence "23317" written on it, in messy handwriting. Robin takes the card and sticks it in his jean pocket. He rolls his eyes at Vance. "You don't have to get pissed off just because i don't know where your fucking ghetto-ass convenient store is," He says. "Why couldn't you just get his medication at a pharmacy? Or a fucking Walmart?" Vance's eyes widen when the insult to his favorite store registers in his head. "Oh you did not just-" He starts, raising his fist, before being cut off by Robin, who runs out the door, yelling a "BYE VANCEY, LOVE YOU!" as the door slams shut. "I fucking hate that moron," Vance mutters as he walks to the kitchen to make the food for Bruce."Why is it so cold out? holy shit," Robin says to himself, shivering a bit. He's reciting the directions Vance gave him in his head, over and over so he doesn't mess up. "Past the school, GameStop alleyway. Past the school, GameStop alleyway. Past the school, GameStop alleyway." He realizes he's staring directly at the ground, so he looks up and stops walking to see where he is. He's directly in front of South Denver Middle, the school that Finney, Billy, and Robin himself attend. He smiles at the school, since he has a bunch of good memories here. A few negative ones flash through his mind, so he looks away from the school and continues walking.
(Past the school)
Robin quickens his pace when he passes the school, because it's 40 degrees outside and he's wearing a literal muscle shirt and jeans. Or, A wife-beater as his Tio(uncle) calls them. He can see the GameStop in the distance, so he hurries over to the front of it. He stops directly in front of it and catches his breath, but gets a sudden chill down his back that wasn't from the cold. He walks a bit past the store and up to the entrance of the alleyway. It's pretty dark inside for it being 2:30 in the afternoon, and rustling can be heard. "Jeez, I'm not as scary as Vance, He can scare anything off," He thinks to himself. Then, something his best friend and crush, Finney, said, comes back to him. "Wow, Robin! You can fight pretty damn well! It's like you're not afraid of anything!" Robin sighs. In reality, He's afraid of a lot of things. He never shows it, though.
(GameStop alleyway)
"This is a long ass alleyway," Robin mutters as he speed walks through the dark alley. He's looking down at the floor, since he really doesn't like the dark that much. "The Grab n Go is just up ahead here, keep going." He thinks to himself. "You just gotta keep going, Robin. Keep G-"
His thoughts were interrupted when he walked straight into something, which caught him off guard. He fell backwards and landed on the ground. He looks up at what he ran into.
Four men are standing there, staring down at him. They seem to be in their mid 40's. Two of them were holding half-empty beer bottles, and one of them, the one he bumped in to, who reminded Robin a little bit of Finney's Father, was holding an empty, broken one.
"Well, Well, Well!" The first man says, staring down at Robin. "What do we have here? A young girl like you walkin' all alone?" A confused look flashed over Robins face. "young GIRL? Ohhh, it's cause of the hair, isn't it." He thinks to himself. Robin then stands up and brushes any dirt off of his knees. He crosses his arms over his chest, staring back at the man in front of him. "Sorry, sir. But I think you need to get your eyes checked." He chuckles. "I'm a guy."
A feeling of anger washed over the Man, as he dropped his bottle and grabbed the collar of Robin's shirt, pinning him to the brick wall of the alleyway. "Don't lie to me, sweetheart. You're one of the prettiest girls i've seen," he pauses to lick his lips. Robin gags at the smell of the man's breath. "And i've seen a lot." The man caresses Robin's cheek with his thumb, which makes Robin roll his eyes. He bites the man's thumb, hard. The man flinches away, examining the amount of blood drawn from his finger. He turns his attention back to Robin. Well, he tries to. When he looks back at the wall, Robin was gone. The Man whips his head from side-to-side, looking for the boy. Robin, who's right behind the man, raises his leg. "First of all, Fuck you." He says, and roundhouse kicks the man in the face. "As if that's any way to treat a lady." The man drops to the ground, holding his face in his hands.
"What the fuck is wrong with you? Jesus, this generation is so fucked up. Back when i was younger any girl would give anything to be in your situation," The man says, standing up. Robin smirks. "Any girl would love to be assaulted by four men that are YEARS older than her? Jeez, Are you sure my generation is the fucked up one?" One of the other men, That Robin had completely forgotten about to be honest, angrily ran towards him, copying the first guy and pinning him to the wall. Robin chuckles, patting him on the head. "Hey Buddy," He says. "What's with you guys' obsession with me? I mean i know i'm attractive, but Jesus." The man punches Robin in the nose, making it bleed. The blood runs down into his mouth. "Aw, has someone got their panties in a bunch?" Robin says to the man, Kicking him directly in the privates. The man groans and falls to the ground. "Did that help?" Robin asks sarcastically with a smirk on his face.
The man is now laying on the ground, sobbing and holding his groin. The other man is sitting with his back against the wall, as blood trickles down the side of his neck. "Pussies." Robin says, as he hears the third man yelling as he runs towards him. The man raises his beer bottle, as to hit Robin with it, when Robin ducks. He sticks his hands out and flips the man over his head, and the man lands on the concrete with a thud. Robin walks over to the man and stands over him. "Damn. Bro's ugly." He says, and then is met with a fist to the face. This time, he's more aggressively thrown against the wall and pinned to it, The fourth man who was passed out in a corner this entire time standing over him. Robin wasn't expecting it. He also wasn't expecting to freeze when a rough pair of lips met his, the man's tongue forcing its way into Robins mouth. He tried to squirm, to kick, to do anything, but he couldn't. He was tired, and scared. This entire time he was terrified, but, per usual, he didn't let it show. Tears welled up in his eyes, threatening to spill over as the man left dark purple bruises all over his neck and shoulders. The man covered Robin's mouth with one hand, while the other one touched him. Everywhere. Robin tried to scream when the man's hand got close to a certain area, but it only came out quiet and muffled. This was the first time in Robins life since his father died that he felt this helpless. He couldn't do anything. He was so fucking mad at himself for letting his guard down, for freezing up, for even coming here in the first place. He then thought of Bruce, who had to be sick even longer because of him. Because Robin couldn't get his medicine. Because Robin was getting raped.
A few hours passed, and Robin was laying on the cold concrete, as the man threw his clothes back at him. He had no energy to even put them on, no energy to even move. But he had to. He had to get Bruce's medication, he had to get home to Finney, He had to get the fuck out of here. He pulled his clothes on over his tired and abused body, as quick as he could. Still on the ground, he saw a broken beer bottle laying a few inches away from him, his hands fumbling as he reached for it. As soon as his hand enclosed over the neck of the bottle, he hurled it at the man, who was currently standing in the opposite direction, dressing himself. It hit the back of his bald head, and the man groaned as blood poured down his back. Robin stood up as fast as he could and ran. It hurt, but he ran. He ran as if his life depended on it because honestly, it did. He ran past GameStop, Past the School, and all the way back to the clubhouse.
Someone else could get Bruce's Medication.
