Chapter 2- The girl he met in Paris

"Have we.... met before?" He asked and I wished I could answer with a 'no' but that would be a lie because I knew who he was when I heard his voice.... that voice which I couldn't get off my head since I returned to Korea. Now that I look back at it, I wonder what would've happened if I hadn't run away. I reached out to my book once again only for him to grip it even tighter. 

"I'm late-e for class-s," I said and snatched the book from his hand. I stood up from my place and so did he but before he could say anything further, someone put their hand on my shoulder and I knew who it was. It was Ji-eon.

"Y/n, let's go... we have classes-" she stopped what she was saying when she noticed 

"Do you both know each other?" She asked giving me a sneaky look

"No, we don't... let's go," I said dragging Ji-eon away. I took a last glance at him and he was looking at me before we entered our class that was at the end of the hallway
I wanted to avoid looking into his eyes... because they made me feel weak. 

[Time skip: Chemistry class]

We entered the class and there was still half an hour before the class starts. There were only three apart from us and it was the first class so students usually start to arrive by 10:50. I never enter the class before 10:55 but I had to.... because I didn't want to be around him. 
Now, who would believe me if I say that, I met this ridiculously handsome guy in Paris, whose name I didn't even know but had a one-night stand with him and now, I find out that he is a student in the same university that I go to. 

"Now, who was that boy you were talking to in the hallway?" Ji-eon asked bringing me back to reality

"Huh? No-o one... just-t someone-e I bumped-d into" Oh I wish I hadn't bumped into him... not in the hallways.... and not in Paris. 

"Come on! You both looked at each other as if you both know each other" Did we? 

"I don't know what you are talking about, Ji-eon," I said taking the books out from my bag. After a few minutes, students soon started to enter the class and started taking their seats. At sharp 11:00 am, the professor entered the room too but there was another person who entered with the professor. Yes, it was him. 

The moment he entered the hall, there was whispering everywhere. People were whispering about him, more specifically speaking, the girls were whispering about him.
"I saw him in the hallway and he looked so hot I thought he was a computer major"
"Isn't he a little too handsome for being a major in chemical engineering"
"I know, he is handsome" I was listening to these until someone whispered into my ears,

"He is handsome" I flinched and looked to my side it was Ji-eon who had a sneaky look on her face as she did before. I looked at her with one raised eyebrow as if I was judging her. The professor cleared his throat before saying,

"Class, we have a new student who'll be joining us.... why don't you go ahead and introduce yourself, hmm?" 

"Yes... Hello, My name is Jeong Jaehyun... I'm a major in chemical engineering" He said and after hearing his voice, I was sure that he was the one whom I met in Paris

"Jeong... Jaehyun" I said to myself because previously I didn't know his name... but now I do

"You joined two months late, I hope you can get the previous notes and try to catch up as much as possible" The professor and he nodded before he looked around to find an empty seat during which he saw me. We made eye contact and he was the one to break it before he took to my left and two rows behind my row

The class was already halfway but I found myself not being able to stop looking in his direction. I had so many questions in my mind about him. Did he try to find me after that night? Where was he for two months? He definitely wasn't in Paris for two months or... was he? Why was he at the party of the company for which I went to work for? Who is he? 
I found myself getting more and more curious about him... when I shouldn't be. He was like that one mysterious guy with a lot of secrets, you meet at the most unexpected times.

"Y/n" Ji-eon whispered into my ears. I hummed at her statement before looking back in his direction

"You know you are staring at him, right?" She said making me look at her  

"No... I wasn't!" I whispered back before scribbling something in my notebook

"Sure, sure... you should go and try fooling someone else... not gonna work on me" She said winking which made me only scoff at her. I took a glance at him before looking at the board. The professor was teaching something which I couldn't understand... I mean, how could I? When I have been staring at him the whole time. 

"You are gonna make a hole in his back if you stare at him for another minute," Ji-eon said again making me roll my eyes

"I was not staring, okay? Moreover... I like someone else"

"I never said that you liked him"

"Whatever"

[Time skip: Lunch time]

I took my tray and looked around for an empty seat. Ji-eon had to return a book to the library so she would be joining me later. My phone started ringing and it was a call from my younger brother.

"Hello? Jisung... what happened?" I asked and started walking as I finally spotted an empty seat

"I'll be at a group study with my friends, so I'll return a little late. Is that okay?" 

"Yeah, it is. Just don't stay out too late... make sure to return before it's 8 pm okay?" 

"Okay!" he replied disconnecting the call. I held the tray in one hand and attempted to keep my phone back in my pocket when I bumped into someone. Fortunately, my tray did not fall except for the juice box that fell off the tray.

"I'm sorry for bumping into you," I said when a familiar perfume hit my nose 

"We keep bumping into each other... or should I say, you keep bumping into me" I knew the voice... it was him.... it was Jaehyun. I looked at him to which he smiled that showed his dimples before kneeling and picking up the juice box. I didn't want to talk to him any further... but at the same time, I wanted the conversation to keep on going. I reached out to my juice box only for him to move his hands backward.

"We have chemistry together," He said

"Yes, we do" I replied and I seriously hoped that he was talking about the subject

"I don't know anyone in the class from whom I could ask for notes and the girls won't give me the notes without flirting with me.. so I was wondering if you could help me with the notes?" He asked and honestly, the girls part made me chuckle a bit

"Sure... how about after the classes get over?" I suggested. I should've declined his offer but... it's just a help... nothing more or less.... right?

"I'll be a little busy after classes... I have somewhere I must visit so how about tomorrow before the classes start?" He asked handing me over my juice box. I did not say anything further and just agreed with him. He thanked me and smiled at me before walking away. I stood there and watched him walk through the hallways before he entered one of the classrooms

He said that there was somewhere he must visit today after class and I wanted to know where. I know I shouldn't be... but Jaehyun, what are you doing to me? Why do you make me so curious to know more and more about you?
