We walked down the empty neighborhood streets of Paris late at night, talking about almost everything that's happened the couple years we haven't talked in.

It felt almost bitter sweet hearing him talk about his life knowing I could've been in it but things don't always work out.

"We were actually supposed to be in Rome but but decided last minute to stop in Paris first," He said looking at me. "Well good thing you did huh," I let out a nervous laugh.

"Yeah definitely. It's crazy how we both ended up here at the same time tho isn't it," He voiced. "Oh yeah for sure, it's also ironic if you think of it. We did long distance and wanted to be together now we're both here; unplanned," I smiled at him.

"The universe works in wonders," He said almost whispering but I heard it. "So it's only you and your mom here?" I asked, secretly just wanting to know if he had someone else with him.

"Yeah but my mom's boyfriend coming tomorrow for a couple days before we head to Rome. And you?" He asked. "Just me, needed a breather from work for a few weeks." I said.

He nodded as we continued to walk past a bunch of houses while keeping small talk.

I felt a couple cold drops on my face and looked up at the sky only to notice it was snowing.

"It's snowing," I said lifting my hand up to catch a couple snowflakes. I turned my head back to him with a big smile only to find him looking at me with a softer smile.

"What?" I asked shying away. "Nothing you just got a couple snowflakes on your cheeks." He said still smiling. "Oh," I blushed. He came closer and lifted a hand to my cheeks to brush them off.

My eyes met his when his hand stayed on my cheek. I don't know if it was the way the moon shined on his face or if he looked like this all night and I never noticed because I couldn't keep eye contact with him for more than a couple seconds but he looked like a god right now.

"You managed to not look away," He smirked and my blush darkened. I physically couldn't look away, he was so close to me I could almost feel him breathing on my skin.

"Your eyes are so intimidatingly blue in real life," I said quietly and he laughed. "Sorry I'll tone them down next time," He said smiling.

"Next time?" I blurted out before I could even stop myself. "If you want to of course, we're both here for a bit longer and my moms probably gunna be out with her boyfriend most of the time now so," He explained and I let out a breath I didn't know I was even holding.

"Oh yeah, yeah of course why not," I smiled slightly. He nodded and we both went quiet. Nothing but the sound of night and occasional voices of people.

We stood there — two people who loved and hurt together; longed for each other; finally together. And before I could process what was happening I felt his lips on mine.

His lips molded on mine almost perfectly, giving my cold lips warmth. But in another second it was gone and my lips were cold again.

"I— Sorry I shouldn't ha-" He tried but I couldn't resist the urge of wanting his lips on mine again. My fingers wrapped around his neck and standing on my tip toes I pulled him to me.

So close I felt his hesitant breaths on my lips. "We shouldn't," I said before catching his lips with mine again and that feeling of warmth came rushing back.
