It had only been a month after her siblings departed Kings Landing after Bran was declared King. Arya had stayed with him for a short time while getting her crew and supplies ready before going off to explore what was was West of Westeros. She had noticed that recently food wasn't sitting right with her and she kept felling nauseous. She joked with herself that if she was nauseous now what was being on a boat for months at a time going to feel like.
The more she thought about it the more she started to piece some things together. Her appetite had been off for months and she having trouble sleeping. Then, like a pile of bricks thrown at her face, it hit her, she hadn't bled in a couple months. Not since after she killed the night king at least.
Trying to convince herself that she wasn't pregnant, she thought back of the years and took note that she had at times, missed a month or two, especially when she was stressed. It must just be that she convinced herself, as she was stressed.
She decided it was a good time to go visit her brother. Both being busy, Arya with preparations for her journey and Bran with new Kingly duties, they haven't spent much time together. Walking to his chambers she knocked on his door. "Come in," he responded. "Ah Arya, how are you?" She didn't say anything and just walked towards her brother, without another word he looked up at her and just placed his hand on her stomach, "and how is this little one?" Almost confirming her worst nightmare, Arya had to take a deep breath and sit down. "Sister you are very pale, please take a deep breath. It's okay."
"I need to get back to Winterfell."
Bran, who wasn't one for confrontation or much emotion anymore, simply replied with " you shall have whatever horses and carriage you need."
And with that, Arya hugged her brother goodbye, not sure when she would see him again. "Take care brother. I will be gone shortly."
Arya left and quickly packed her things, not much she possessed anyway, so it didn't take a long time. She asked for the quickest horse in the stable and was granted one. Usually the trip to Winterfell would take a few weeks with a large procession, she was determined to do it no more than 1.5 weeks. Counting weeks back in her head she realized she was already 3.5 months pregnant. She couldn't wait longer.
Arya gave one more look back at Kings Landing, looking at her boat waiting for her in the harbor, watching her dream fade into the distance. She had more to worry about now, she had a little wolf to protect... well half wolf, half bull.
