Gendry was new to being a Lord, so he didn't quite see the thrill in a hunt.  In his distractions he began looking around the woods and just observing people without really trying to. In doing so, he realized Lord Torent was not among them.  He asked a few people and no one had seen him.  He immediately got a terrible feeling in his stomach and grabbed a Winterfell guard to come with him back to the castle.

They went back as fast as their horses would carry them. Once inside the castle walls, Gendry asked the nearest people he could find and asked if they had seen the newly appointed lord.

"Last I saw he was heading to the Great Hall. Had about 5 or 6 guards with him."

Gendry didn't even respond before taking off, the guard right behind him.  Running with a full head of steam, but once they opened the doors they both stopped dead in their tracks.  Bodies, blood, knives, arrows.  His mind was racing.  He saw three dead guards right away and quickly went up to behind the main table where he found another guard and Lord Torent, with needle piercing through his throat.

"Arya.." he whispered nervously looking around to make sure she wasn't laying dead somewhere.

The guard following Gendry pointed out a blood trail leaving the back door to the Great Hall. They followed it until it turned down a hallway that Gendry was very familiar with. It was the hallway that Sansa and Arya's bedrooms were on, one or both of them were hurt. He was spinning, mouth dry, heart racing.

The blood ended at Arya's room.. In what felt like an eternity to Gendry he opened the door and stepped in.

Sansa noticed first, "Gendry!" And then almost within the second, turned to face the guard, "return to the hunt arrest everyone that is not from Winterfell and hold them until I have time to question them.  Bring the maester to me immediately."

"Yes, my Queen, right away."

"Arya! Are you okay? What happened?"

"Gendry-" She said weakly reaching her hand out, he rushed to grab it, looking desperately for Sansa to give him an answer.

"We were attacked. Arya defended us both and won, but she was injured with 2 arrows in her, one in the shoulder, one.." she studdered, "one scraping her stomach." Gendry eyes went wide and gripped Arya's hand even harder. "It was just a cut, that one didn't stick in her."

"With the stress and exerting all of that energy, I think she induced her pregnancy, shes in labor right now, but losing blood so she is very weak."

"What can I do to help?"

"Keep this rag on her forehead to keep her cold, and hold her head up she can't put any pressure on her arm, but she needs to lean forward."

Bringing Gendry down to her, Arya muttered out a few words, "Gen, your armor protected the baby, thank you." she started to doze off.

"Arya!" Sansa screamed at her, "I need you to stay with me. Remember when I said you were the strongest person I knew? Well I need you to prove that a little longer.  We need to get this baby out or you will lose to much.  Can you do that for me?"

"Sure Sans"

"Gendry keep her talking, keep her awake. I am going to have to get her to deliver this baby until the maester comes."

"Alright Arya you are going to push on 3 okay, 1,2,3, PUSH!"

Arya did a pretty decent job, given the circumstances.

"That was great, a couple more you can do it!"

Gendry was trying his best to be encouraging, but was worried his voice was wavering too much.
