Chapter 3: New Reality

I woke up the next morning. Pushing the comforter off me, I checked the time, 7:52. I went into the bathroom to take a shower. I actually really enjoyed my bathroom being connected to my room. I took a shower, washing my hair, brushing my teeth and washing my face. 

I walked over to my drawers and pulled out a pair of black leggings and a long sleeve spirit jersey from Disney that was navy. Once I was dressed, I made my bed and went down stairs. Jamie was sitting on the couch and I didn't see Tyler or Mark. I sat down on the couch next to Jamie, she smiled. "Sleep okay?" she asked. 

I nodded my head. "We will wait for your brother to get up and then we will leave". We then hear footsteps and see Tyler coming down in black Nike shorts and a yellow Warriors t-shirt. "Morning" Jamie said. Tyler sat down on the other side of Jamie. 

We soon left and went to Starbucks for some breakfast. We shopped around the outlet mall for a bit. I got everything I needed. Shoes, jeans, pants, shorts, shirts, jackets, bathing suits, hats, socks, books, a new guitar and things for the guitar, decorations for my room, ect. We headed home and dropped everything off. 

"Alright, lets head to the school and tour it" said Jamie. We got to the school and went in the back way by the gym. Tyler seemed rather excited and ran inside. Jamie chuckled as we got out and walked inside through the locker rooms. 

Jamie walked up some steps and into a office. I peeked around the corner and heard Jamie talking to someone. There was another lady inside. She was older with short hair. Jamie looked behind her seeing me and took me inside by the shoulder. "Maddie, this is Coach Carey, she is the volleyball coach" she said. 

She waved to me. "I'm excited to have you in my class Maddie" she said. I just smiled. "Oh, I have your schedule, why don't you call Tyler and he can show you to all your classes". I just nodded as she handed me the printed schedule. 

I walked out of the office and grabbed my phone and called Tyler. "Hi Maddie!" he said rather excited. "Hey, can you help me with my classes? I don't really know where everything is" I said with a nervous chuckle. 

"Yeah sure, I'll meet you outside the gym" He answered. I thanked him and hung up. I walked outside the front of the gym. He showed up a few moments later. He showed me to all my classes for semester 1 and 2. Semester 1's schedule was Marine Bio 3, Spanish, Science, History, Volleyball, ELA, and Geometry. 

Next Semester was Herpetology 3, Spanish, Science, History, Jazz Band, ELA, and Geometry. We went to all my classes multiple times to make sure I knew where to go. When we were in Marine Bio, we saw the teacher. She was rather nice and there was another kid in there. 

I talked to her. Her name was Autumn, her mom worked at the school as a history teacher for 6th grade. It turns out we had 2 classes together. Marine Bio 3 and Geometry. She had a red brownish hair and blue eyes. She was a big harry potter fan so we did have the that in common. The teacher, Ms. Thatcher talked to me as well. 

She told us about multiple field trips we would take throughout the year. Once we were done touring my classes, Autumn took me so meet her mom and and we exchanged phone numbers. There was no reason for me to introduce Autumn to Jamie because she already knew who she was, she is known as Coach Taylor. 

After we finished touring the school and met everyone, we headed home. We got some dinner since we left at around 5pm. We got Chick-Fa-La. Once we got home, we ate and Tyler begged me to come in the pool with him. 

I got changed into my pure black one piece and walked over. Tyler jumped in and I just stuck my feet in. "Come on!" said Tyler. I sighed and stepped into the cold water. We played around in the water together for about 2 hours. 

Jamie made us come in because she had to get up somewhat early and go on campus tomorrow since school was starting that Wednesday. We got inside, took a shower and headed into our room. I grabbed onto my new guitar and started finger picking some notes. 

Tyler slowly walked in and watched me. "You should teach me" said Tyler. I picked my old guitar and showed him how to play some basic notes. "Alright, I love that you guys are jamming out but I think we should start winding down and getting to bed" said Jamie. "Okay" we said. Tyler handed back my old guitar carefully as I placed them down. 

Jamie kissed the top of Tyler's head and told him goodnight. She smiled at me. "So what do you think about our schedule, geometry and Spanish are high school credit courses and since your going to be working at SeaWorld, I managed to get you in marine bio 3 and since you like animals, I put you in herpetology 3 which is the study amphibians and..." she said. "And reptiles" I finish. She smiled. "And that's why your in the class" she said. 

We talked about me meeting Autumn and the trips for marine bio. In the end she said goodnight to me. She closed my door as I got ready for bed by brushing my teeth and hair and washing my face. I climbed into bed and starting reading one of the new books we got. 

I got about half way through that book. I placed the book down with the bookmark in it and silenced my phone placing it on the charger. 

I removed my glasses placing them down on my nightstand and got under my covers. How did I end up so lucky, I thought as I drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face.

So sorry about this taking literally 45 decades for me to update. Things have been hectic recently with school projects. I will try and do better but probably don't expect one till like the end of the week. Also, I'm aware this chapter is a little short but I was kind of rushed and I felt bad for not uploading in to long. I will try and make each chapter at LEAST 1000 words if not more.
